Im sure you already do this, but just in case. My printer at work uses toner and when It tells me it is done I take it out and shake it all around for a minute or two and then I get a few hundred more pages out of it. Maybe worth a shot if you havent already done that??

Just in case you guys didn’t know… whenever my ink runs out i will print to “PDF” that way it saves in my computer and I can go back and print it out when i do get ink. Some of these coupons go sooooo fast you gotta nab em while you can,.

Both of our fully-stocked freezers lost power while we were on vacation so we lost everything. I had a whole shelf of “free cheese” in pretty much every form and flavor. I am so glad to see this coupon ‘cuz I’ve missed having my personal cheese store! time to start restocking!

I’ve never froze cheese before. Do you just freeze it in the bag it comes in? How long is it good for once you take it out of the freezer? Thanks! Sorry to hear about your power loss!

        Sophie says:

I am wondering how to freeze my shredded cheese as well. Help us please!!!!

      • 5.2.2
        Cathy says:

Yep – just throw it in the freezer! When you’re ready to use it, just set it out on the counter. I will sometimes smack it around (ha ha – sounds funny), to break it up and use it before it’s completely thawed and it works just fine!

Deal got even sweeter. I just came back from Albertsons and on some of the 8 oz blocks of cheese and some of the 8 oz shredded cheese there is a 1.00 manager special coupon. Combine that with the 5/5 Kraft coupon and it’s a 5.00 moneymaker. I’m in Puyallup, WA. I know they have these coupons in Federal Way, WA as well. Be on the lookout!

    Susan says:

The last time I tried to use a $5 internet-printable coupon at Albertsons (a few months ago), they would not accept it. I was told they only accept IP coupons for $4.99 or less. They also wouldn’t accept IP coupons for free items. Bogo yes, but not for one item that is outright free. Coupons for $5 or more or for free items must be the professionally printed kind.

This was at the Albertsons at 5&O in Boise.

I’m really excited about this cheese coupon, but will Albies accept them?

        Daleene says:

Used them at 10 Mile & Cherry and the Main Meridian store. The cashier was pretty excited about it herself. She said “I had better go put some back for myself.” I told her that she better before they were all gone.

      Adrian says:

Used them at the downtown State Street location just fine.

McMillan and Eagle store would not accept it. My sister said that 5mile and O worked just fine…weird!

      • 9.3.1
        Sophie says:

I was just at 5&O, they had to manually enter the coupon and the cashier said they were looking into it because they didn’t think the coupon was “right”. I told her it came directly from the manufacturer and she kind of ignored my comment. I got the impression they are thinking it is fraudulent and are trying to come up with a way not to accept it. :(

On a side note, 5&O is out of the $2/3 Oscar Meyer Hot Dogs, the case only had a few regular Cool Whips and maybe 15 or so Lite Cool Whips left, not sure if they had more in the back cause I didnt need any, and I am sure they will be out of cheese within the afternoon.

        Jen Guarino says:

I just used it at the McMillian and Eagle store. The cashier had to get a mgr. key to push it through but they are taking it now. Maybe you got a new cashier?

Ustick & 5mile worked. They had to manually enter it, but still had lots of cheese at 4:15 today.

I just did this deal in San Diego and it worked but the cashier had to push it through. It was saying I did not purchase the required items ( I bought Kraft shredded)

    hi everyone

is this cat for “every 5 you buy” you get $5 cat so if i had a purchase of $35 I would get 7 cats?

just curious as I have 2 cats from dressing last week…
so if i could do a $10 purchase and get $10 cats back….???
    thanks!

          Amber says:

Absolutely right! You would have to separate into 5 blocks of cheese per transaction. Then use your $5 cat from your previous transaction to pay for your next one. ZERO dollars OOP! Yippeeee!

Yikes 5 & O was out of almost everything already. I managed to get 5 sharp cheeses, there was only a few sugar free cool whip and of course the hot dogs all gone. They manually entered my $5 off coupon as well they cashier was nice and said they were hoping they didn’t have to do that all week. Hoping the stores stock up on the cheese before the sales over!

Bummer, I ran into Albertsons (I’m in the SW region – Dallas, TX) just for this deal and all the Kraft cheeses were marked $2.99. There was a long line and my hubby and kids were waiting in the car, so I didn’t get a chance to ask or see how it rang up. Were the cheese’s you got marked on sale as $2 on the racks? Maybe this is a regional sale?

      Cathy says:

Jade, I do believe it is for Albertsons NW stores only. :( So sad! Email me and I’ll see if I can find you a DFW Albies blogger! fabulesslyfrugal at gmail dot com.

      Lisa says:

I am in Flower Mound (outside Dallas) and our Albertsons did not have this deal either. Thom Thumb has Kraft cheese on sale with in ad coupon for 1.69. It says limit 3 and I just had them scan the in-ad coupon twice and it I got 5 packages for $3.45 (.69 each) which is a good deal even though it’s not free like our friends up North are getting.

  16. 16

I only got this deal to roll 2 times:

1st bought the cheese (catalina printed)
Second bough hotdogs and a filler (catalina printed)
    cheese deal again (no catalina)

so I don’t know if something went wrong or if the deal only rolls twice.

too bad, I was going to maybe do the cheese deal again (maybe not- since that deal wasn’t very smooth), a miracle whip/hotdog/filler deal and then finish it off with 2 containers of peanuts.

Oh well 10 packs of cheese and 5 hot dogs is pretty good for 5 bucks.

hmmm… my cashier had the same thing happen. BUT she worked around it and made it work and printed the cat somehow. She is awesome like that.
I don’t think there was a MAXimum on it… so it should have worked. what if it was another customer behind you that bought the cheese…
if you didn’t get a cat; call the catalina company and they will send one. you should have gotten one.

    Natalie says:

I got an odd comment from the cashier at the Columbia Village Albertsons; after the coupon beeped and a manager came over to use a key, the cashier stated that the coupon is in violation of federal law for giving away cheese for free, and that they doubted anyone would be able to use it much longer, but that they would let it go through today. I remember someone else posting recently about trying to use the $.30 coupon toward the Yoplait Greek yogurt in the round-up this week and getting a similar response (about there being a federal law preventing them from giving away dairy products for free) at the ParkCenter Albertsons. I asked my fiance about it as I had never heard of such a law, and after thinking it over, he said it might have something to do with dairy products being federally mandated and/or receiving government funding. I initially just chalked it up to the usual cashiers not always knowing what they’re talking about, but for that reasoning to be given twice within a couple days struck me as strange. Anyone?

      terri says:

the govt used to give away free cheese for ppl on welfare, never heard of a fed law that said you couldnt get free cheese. puhleeze

    • 17.2
      Julie says:

I don’t know what the specific law or reason behind the law is, but that’s why catalina coupons usually (or maybe always) say “$5 off on your next order excluding tobacco, alcohol, blah, blah, blah, and DAIRY.” Dairy is usually the only food category listed there.

But, anyway, the $5/5 coupon shouldn’t count because the cheese is only free after you factor in the $5 catalina, so you’re still paying $1 each for the cheese.

    Frances Adona says:

I had several cashiers and front end people ask me if this coupon was agood one, a real one or a fraudulent one. I printed my two and both times the coupon beeped and they had to hand punch it in.Has anyone heard fraudulent or real?

    • 18.1
      Cathy says:

It’s real! It’s from the same catalina sale Albies is having “Huddle Against Hunger” – it is a brand new coupon. Last week they had some others, but this is the new hottie of the week! Kraft donates 5 meals for every 5 items you purchase! It simply compliments the sale/promo they are having.

      Denise says:

My coupon beeped too. The manager had to use her key to let it go through and of course I was looked at like I was committing a crime!

    Kari says:

I wonder…. my cashier tonight said it wasn’t working because I needed more items? like a walgreens deal? I was using $1/2 coupons and $1/1… maybe that is why it is beeping? the coupon count to items ratio?

I talked to our “mgr on duty” tonight and she said the coupons were great! some people just dont get it… I am sorry it isn’t working for EVERYONE.

I got 20 pkgs of cheese (From FULL shelves late tonight!) and tons of other stuff…. 97 Items total for $32.29 which averages to .33 cents each!

I am so grateful for you gals cuz our local gal hasn’t even posted this scenario / coupons / deal yet! I am DONE shopping for the week….

I stalk you all day long!

If anyone is looking…I just got back from the 12th ave store in Nampa and they were totally stocked with shredded cheese. The bricks, not so much, but they were unloading boxes of shredded cheese about an hour ago. They also had a decent amount of cool whip in stock.

    Just a (random) FYI:

Winco (Boise) has the kraft shredded cheese priced at 1.48, so with the $5/5 coupon would be .48 per bag…. I know it’s not FREE, but if your albies is cleaned out it’s still a good price!

    Debi says:

I just printed off my 2 $5/5 q’s…maybe it was a glitch with it being $2? I would email Kraft since they have ads for it on the cheese and on the internet – I mean really they had to expect a ton of prints. And the main page clearly says $5/5. I’d (nicely) complain :) I would guess they’d try to make it right.

This just in from reader Jackie:

Greenhurst Albertsons has tons of cheese and hotdogs. The manager was thrilled that I was buying so much. They were stocking everything when I was there at noon.
