Little Caesar’s Crazy Bread Copycat Recipe
I’m not necessarily a big fan of Little Caesar’s pizza, but I could eat their Crazy Bread all day long! That’s why I knew I had to come up with my own delicious Little Caesar’s Crazy Bread copycat recipe.
This is such a quick and easy recipe too… it should only take you about 15-20 minutes to make your own Crazy Bread at home. It’s also a lot more affordable to make your own Crazy Bread rather than going to Little Caesars!
See how easy it is to make Homemade Little Caesar’s Crazy Bread:
Start With Your Dough:
In the photos, I used Pillsbury refrigerated canned pizza crust dough.
If you prefer not to use refrigerated pizza dough, no problem. You can always substitute your favorite pizza crust recipe or Rhode’s bread dough works well too. Pretty much any dough that you would use for pizza crust will work in this recipe!
Once you have your dough, just cut it into strips with a pizza cutter, place the strips on a greased cookie sheet, and bake.
Your Crazy Bread is Almost Ready to Serve!
After your dough is finished baking, slather on the garlic salt butter and sprinkle generously with Parmesan cheese! The garlic butter and Parmesan are what really make the breadsticks taste just like Little Caesar’s Crazy Bread.
Crazy Bread Serving Tips:
These breadsticks are not only a great side dish with pizza but are a fantastic addition to any meal! I like them with pasta, soup, stir-fry, or just as a snack by themselves.
If you want to add some more flavor to your Crazy Bread, serve them with your favorite marinara or pizza sauce!
I’ve added an easy marinara dipping sauce – a Little Caesar’s Crazy Sauce copycat recipe – to the recipe in case you want to try it out too. I ended up with leftover sauce, so I just portioned it out and stashed it in the freezer for next time!
Another great dipping sauce for the breadsticks would be this homemade Alfredo sauce. Yum!

What brand pizza dough did you use?
On this one I used Rhodes frozen bread dough. I use it for pizza crust too.
I work at little caesars and it’s really simple to make it. We make our own dough out of high gluten flour, oil, and a grainy dough mix then just butter them with garlic butter and parmesan.
Thanks for the tips Amanda!!
Any specific kind of Parmesan?
I use the kind that is almost like a powder and comes in a canister. Works great!
Kraft in a shaker.
I work there and we don’t use garlic salt. its pizza dough, lots of butter spread on top, (probably more than that) it’s real butter not margarine and Parmesan cheese. can’t help you on the dough. looks really basic. anyways goodluck on making good breadsticks
other notes: even though breadsticks don’t have garlic salt it would probably be better that way anyways.
It’s actually made with butter mixed with crushed garlic and Parmesan mixed with Kosher salt. (Though some stores started using a liquid garlic butter the original way was as I mentioned).
The dough is cut into bread sticks baked and then brushed with the garlic butter and then cheese.
That is exactly how it was made when I managed one in 1990. I do not remember the ratio of salt to cheese. I am pretty sure it was 1 cup kosher salt to a one gallon container of parmesan cheese. The butter was 2Tbs minced garlic to one pound of butter. Melt in microwave. Brush on breadstick then sprinkle with cheese mix.
The Hawaii Little Caesars always had garlic in the butter so I wouldn’t leave it out just cause one person says they didn’t use it. Plus you cant ho wrong with garlic.
Hey! Made these the other night and posted to my blog. I linked it back to your website for the recipe.
Thank You for posting this recipe, I made these the other night & they turned out amazing. I’ve recently had a craving for garlic and so, I love the garlic & parm combination. Very good, thank you.
I worked at a Little Caesars for 5 years, and although we technically don’t put garlic salt on Crazy Bread, we do spread garlic butter on top before putting parmesan on them, so adding garlic salt to melted butter is a decent substitute. I just made these yesterday and thought they were pretty good, and probably as close as you can get to making crazy bread at home.
I worked there for a couple years as a teenager quite some time ago. Can’t remember the garlic butter recipe, but I do remember that salt was mixed in with the parmesan cheese.
I made this and it was great. I would add more butter next time.
How do you make the sauce?
I have the same question as Patty. How do you make the homemade marinara sauce? Is there a good recipe out there?
This is the one we love: https://fabulesslyfrugal.com/easy-homemade-marinara-sauce/
Little Caesar Crazy bread sauce
Ingredients
Vegan, Gluten free, Paleo
Produce
1/4 tsp Basil, dried
1/4 tsp Garlic powder
1/2 tsp Marjoram, dried
1/4 tsp Thyme, ground
Canned Goods
1 (15 ounce) can Tomato puree
Baking & Spices
1/4 tsp Pepper
1/2 tsp Salt

These are Awesome! I like them more than LC breadstix because you can put extra butter & parmasagn on them!
I worked at little caesars in high school and college. You all are forgetting the cornmeal. That gets sprinkled on the pan before you add the dough.
Thanks for the tip, Rachel!
