12 Self-Care Ideas for a Better YOU

1. Guided Meditation
Guided Meditation will allow you to reconnect with yourself. Apps like Headspace or Calm are designed to help you get started. You can even do a search on YouTube for guided meditation. Do you have a channel you already love?
2. Move Your Body
Exercise is not only a way to lose weight, but a great way to refocus and re energize. My favorite at home work-out program is Les Mills. Youtube is also filled with workout videos that you can follow. You could even play Just Dance for a fun break.
3. Get a Massage
Either you could go somewhere for a massage or get one from home with my favorite massager. I love giving my shoulders, backs, and legs a massage with this every morning and evening.
4. Take Care of Your Skin
5. Drinks Lots of Water
Something as simple as drinking enough water everyday is such a great way to care for yourself and show up for yourself.
You could either get a guided journal like this or a blank journal. My favorite way to journal is to list out 5-10 things I am grateful that happened that day. This is such a good way to calm and reconnect after a long, tiring day.
7. Get Together with Friends
Laughing with the people you love is healthy for you and your friends! Take some time to connect with a group of friends or just one person. Give them a call during a lunch break or while you are driving.
8. Start a new hobby
Learning new things is exciting and can give you something to look forward to everyday. Start baking, gardening, knitting, coloring, hand-lettering, dancing, playing the piano, etc. Anything that interests you!
9. Get fresh flowers
Uplevel the space around you with something fresh. Fresh flowers can serve as a reminder to appreciate the little things in life. You can also freshen your space with these DIY natural air fresheners.
10. Make Your Bed
Making your bed every morning is a simple way that you can show up for yourself everyday. Creating little habits is a great way to take care of yourself and your space.
11. Wait to get on your phone
Wait 30-minutes or until after breakfast to get on your phone in the mornings. Making a goal to wait to get on your phone will help you create time for yourself in the morning.
12. Do nothing
Whatever it means to you to do nothing, do it! Take time to just sit, relax, and enjoy yourself and those around you.
