How to make this Air Fryer Apple Spice Oatmeal:
Step 1: Prepare the apples
After cutting the apples into small bite-sized pieces, in a small air fryer-safe dish, combine the apples with the maple syrup and cinnamon until the apples are fully coated.
Then, place the apples still in the bowl into the air fryer basket and bake the apples for 4-5 minutes at 380°F or 193°C.
Step 2: Add in the oats
Once the apples are done cooking, add the oats, milk, syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt to the apples.
Stir everything until it is well combined. Depending on how you like your oatmeal, add more or less milk to get your desired consistency.
Step 3: Second bake
After adding the remaining ingredients, place the bowl back in the air fryer and air fry the oatmeal at 300°F or 150°C for 10-12 minutes.
Step 4: Remove
If the oatmeal mixture is to your liking and the apples are tender, remove and add any toppings you like, such as a tbsp of brown sugar, a sprinkle of cinnamon, or even a little whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream to turn this into an apple dessert.
Then dig in and enjoy!
