The Best Last-Minute Gift Idea! Same-day Photo Print, Lots of Ways to Give
2020 was quite the year. Why not wrap it all up with a few photos or a print? Depending on what size you print, its likely most prints won’t be ready for Christmas. But what about a New Years Gift, as a way to celebrate the end of 2020? I can’t think of a better way to wrap up 2020 and start 2021 than with a picture book, canvas, calendar, or even simple 4×6 photos. Depending on when, where, and what you print, you could have something ready by Christmas (as a last minute gift idea) or the New Year. Here are some ideas to spark your inspiration:
PHOTO GIFT IDEAS
Photo Memory Book
The simplest way you can gift photos from this year is to create a memory book. All you need to do is print 4x6s, purchase a cute notebook, and get some glue, washi tape, scotch tape, pens, and markers. Create a book full of your favorite moments of 2020 (and maybe not so favorite). If you are making this for someone, you can write down your favorite memories with the person and their great qualities. This is such a meaningful gift that they will love!
Print a Photobook
You could essentially do the same thing as the idea above, but just have all your photos printed into the book. This is a good idea if you want to save time. And depending on how many pictures you want, you can also save money. The risk with this is it won’t be ready by Christmas. But it would make a great New Year’s gift!
My personal favorite way to print photobooks is through Chatbooks. This is a handsfree service because it’ll use photos from your instagram and print the pictures with your captions. If you use social media to document big moments of your year, this is a great option.
Photo & Frame
Another easy idea is to just print your favorite photo of or with the person and frame it!
You could also spend a little time making a calendar for the new year. This is such a fun and great gift idea for just about anyone!
Hanging photo frame with 4×6 photos
You could print your favorite 4×6 photos and gift it with a cute hanging photo frame. This is such a great idea for any teenage girl, college student, or as decoration for someone’s house. I know that my 21 year old daughter would love something like this.

To help you decide where to get your photos printed, here are some major retailers that are having some great deals on prints.

Walgreens also offers same day pickup. Their prices are a bit more expensive with 4×6 starting at 23cents, but if you use code SOGRATEFUL, you can score 50% off prints, posters, and enlargements at checkout (valid through Dec. 26)
CVS offers 30% off photo orders and has a selection of same-day gift ideas for last-minute gifts. For example, you can get a photo magnet (pictured) for just $4.99.
