How to Make Air Fryer Chickpeas

This air fryer recipe is one of the simplest! All you need is one can of chickpeas and a seasoning mix of your choice. Check out the next section for seasoning inspiration.

For my seasonings, I did 1/8 teaspoon each of garlic & onion powder and ¼ teaspoon each of paprika and cinnamon. It was so good!

The best way to make air fryer chickpeas is in batches.

  1. Place drained chickpeas in a single layer in the air fryer & cook at 390°F/200°C for 5 minutes to dry out the chickpeas.
  2. Spray with oil (to make them crispy) then cook for another 5 minutes. If you don’t have an oil sprayer, pour a little oil on the chickpeas and stir.
  3. Stir half the seasoning mix onto the chickpeas and cook for 2 minutes (or until they are done to your liking).
  4. Carefully remove the chickpeas from the air fryer and stir or shaking in the remaining of seasoning.

It’s that simple to make chickpeas in the air fryer! You will love this one as a snack, side, topping to a salad, or to any of your favorite chickpea dishes!
