What vegetables work best for roasting

Honestly, the most important part is choosing vegetables you like to eat and giving it a go. A few of my favorite vegetables to make are either, zucchini, squash, red onion, asparagus, bell peppers, potatoes, or carrots.

The most important tip for making the best roasted veggies possible

If you are ready to make your roasted veggies and want to make sure that they turn out great this is one tip that you want to make sure you follow.

Do your best to cut your vegetables into about the same size pieces. This way you will be sure to have the pieces all turn out well without either burning or being undercooked.

Is the oil necessary?

YES! In order to get that nice crispy outside and tender inside that we look for for roasted vegetables you will need to have them at least lightly coated in oil.

You can choose your favorite oil to use, however, I find that using avocado oil works best and has the highest smoke point of the cooking oils.

How to Roast Any Vegetable in the Air Fryer:

Step 1: Cut up the vegetables

When you are ready to eat, cut up your vegetables into bite-sized pieces. Not only does this ensure that they cook well, but also since they are smaller, they won’t take as long to cook.

Step 2: Put them in the basket

Once you have the vegetables all cut up, place them in the bottom of the air fryer basket, making sure that the basket is not overcrowded.

Then spray the veggies with oil and spring them with salt and pepper to taste, along with any other seasonings you would like!

Step 3: Roast veggies

After you have the vegetables all seasoned, return the basket to the air fryer and turn it on to 400 degrees F or 200 degrees C and let the vegetables cook for about 8-10 minutes, making sure to stir the vegetables at the halfway point.

Also, if you are using a denser vegetable like a carrot, you may need more time. The same goes for a softer vegetable, but in reverse, start with less time and add more if needed.

Then just serve and enjoy!
