What is Acorn Squash Like?

Acorn squash is similar to butternut squash. It does have a different outward appearance, but the inner flesh is similar in color and texture.

What Does Acorn Squash Taste Like?

An acorn squash tastes fairly sweet and has a slightly nutty flavor but is a bit more fibrous in texture compared to other squash.

How to Make Air Fryer Acorn Squash:

Step 1: Score the Acorn Squash

Start by washing the acorn squash and then cutting it in half. Then remove the seeds with a spoon.

When the seeds are out, take the knife to score the squash horizontally and vertically so that you are able to make squares in the fleshy part of the squash.

Step 2: Create the Glaze Mixture

After the squash has been prepared, mix up the brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a small mixing bowl.

Then place a tablespoon of butter in each half of the squash and then spread it around a bit.

Next, split the brown sugar mixture between the two halves of the scored acorn squash, mixing the butter and sugar mixture together and spreading it along the squash.

Step 3: Cook the Squash

Once that is all set, place the prepared squash into the air fryer and cook them for 25 minutes at 370F or 188C.

Once the squash can be pulled away by a fork it should be tender and cooked all the way through.

Then simply remove and enjoy your glazed air fryer acorn squash.
