Ingredients and Supplies You’ll Need to Make Fried Cookie Dough:

Ingredients:

  • Crescent roll dough
  • Cookie dough mix of your choice

Supplies

What type of dough to use

For this recipe, I would suggest using either homemade or store-bought dough that is made without eggs. You will only need enough to form 8-10 cookie dough balls unless you have more crescent dough.

Can this be made with different flavors?

While I made this recipe with delicious chocolate chip dough, it can be made with others! Sugar cookies, oatmeal, or peanut butter cookie dough are all great options.

The most important part is to ideally use dough without eggs just in case the dough does not get cooked through all the way.

How to make Fried Cookie Dough:

Step 1: For cookie dough balls

Start by forming the cookie dough into 2 tbsp or so of bite-sized balls.

Then, place in the fridge or freezer and let chill.

You want the cookie dough to be chilled so that it doesn’t leak out of the crescent roll dough, typically for an hour or so.

Step 2: Wrap the cookie dough

Once the dough is chilled unroll the crescent roll dough. Wrap each cookie entirely in a single layer of dough.

If there is a little bit of extra dough, remove it and use it for wrapping the ninth cookie.

Step 3: Fry cookie dough

After all of the dough has been wrapped with the crescent dough, cook them in the air fryer at 350 degrees F or 175 degrees C for 4-5 minutes, or until golden brown.

Immediately remove from the air fryer and dust with powdered sugar. Enjoy while warm! (If needed, reheat by air frying at 350 degrees F or 175 degrees C for 2-3 minutes.)
