How to Make Cheesecake Factory Cheeseburger Egg Rolls
Step 1: Cook the filling

Brown ground beef and drain. Stir in minced onion, pickle relish, Worcestershire, and American cheese until melted and cohesive.
Step 2: Fill & fold

- Place ~1/3 cup filling in the center of a wrapper; shape into a small rectangle.
- Brush the top edge with egg wash or water.
- Fold in the sides, then roll up tightly from the bottom to seal.
Step 3: Air fry

Arrange seam-side down in a single layer; mist lightly with oil. Air fry at 380°F / 190°C for 5–8 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crisp. (For food safety, ground beef should reach 160°F; see USDA guidance.)
Pro Tips for Extra-Crispy Air Fryer Cheeseburger Egg Rolls
- Lightly oil the exterior—too much oil can soften the wrapper.
- Don’t overcrowd the basket; cook in batches for best airflow.
- Flip halfway and finish with a brief rest on a wire rack to vent steam.
Special Burger-Sauce Dipping Sauce

- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tbsp pickle relish
- Splash or two red wine vinegar
- Pinch garlic powder
- Pinch onion powder
Stir until smooth. Also great with yellow mustard, cheddar/nacho cheese dip, or guacamole.
Easy Swaps & Add-Ins for Cheeseburger Egg Rolls
- Meat: Ground turkey or chicken work great.
- Cheese: Swap American for cheddar, Colby-Jack, or pepper jack.
- Add-ins: Diced pickles, sautéed onions, or a dash of burger seasoning.

FAQ
Sweet or dill relish?
Either works—choose your favorite. Dill gives a classic burger profile; sweet adds a little tangy-sweet contrast.
Minced onions—fresh or dried?
Fresh minced onion is best for texture and moisture. Dried minced onion works in a pinch—use about 1/3 the amount and rehydrate if desired.
How do I keep them extra crispy?
Light oil mist, single layer, and flip halfway. Let rest on a wire rack for 2–3 minutes before serving.
Freezer tips?
Assemble and freeze on a sheet pan. Transfer to a freezer bag. Air-fry from frozen, adding 2–3 minutes and flipping halfway.
Can I bake instead?
Yes—bake at 400°F for 12–15 minutes, flipping once; broil 1–2 minutes if needed to crisp.

This is a new favorite of my family. My daughter doesn’t like “crunchy” items in her food so I split the batch and used pickle relish juice and onion granules in her batch. The flavor was wonderful and I love that next time I can double the batch and freeze some to use next time.
Great idea to freeze it for later! So glad your family loved it, Lyn! Thanks for sharing!
Are the minced onions called for in this recipe fresh onions that have been minced or the dried minced onions?
Fresh! But if you need to used the dried ones, you can. Enjoy!

I’m so glad you love them, Jo-Ellen!
These were so easy to make. The ground beef mixture by itself was tasty. I did use local to me burger seasoning to give the ground beef some extra flavor. I have bookmarked this to make over and over again.
Hey Jamie, thanks for letting us know that you liked this so much! We love using local finds to incorporate into recipes. Take care.
The recipe calls for pickle relish in both the egg-roll ingredients and the dipping sauce. Sweet or dill? Thanks, Cathy!
