Air Fryer Baked Avocado Eggs (15 Minutes)
15-Minute Baked Avocado Eggs in the Air Fryer (Keto)

Fast, protein-packed, and naturally low-carb. These air fryer baked avocado eggs are our go-to 15-minute breakfast (or lunch!) when we want healthy fats, creamy avocado, and runny-yolk goodness with almost no dishes. I tested this in my 5.8-qt basket air fryer and my dual-zone modelβboth worked great with minor time tweaks noted below.
What Youβll Need
- 2 ripe avocados (halved, pits removed)
- 4 large eggs
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 4 slices bread (optional, for toast)
Why we love it: Avocados deliver fiber and heart-healthy fats, and eggs add high-quality proteinβan excellent combo for staying full longer. Learn more about avocadoβs nutrition from this helpful overview by the Cleveland Clinic (do-follow): Avocado Health Benefits.
How to Make Air Fryer Baked Avocado Eggs
1) Prep the avocados
Halve the avocados and remove pits. Spoon out a little extra flesh from the center so thereβs enough room for an egg (donβt go through the skin). Save the scooped avocado to mash onto toast.
2) Set up the basket
Line the basket with air-fryer-safe parchment (perforated if you have it). This catches any egg overflow and makes cleanup easy. Nestle the avocado halves so they sit level; use a crumpled foil βringβ as a stand if needed.
3) Add eggs & toast
Place the avocado halves in the basket. Crack one egg into each cavity. Season with salt and pepper. Tuck bread slices alongside to toast (optional).
4) Air fry
Air fry at 370Β°F (187Β°C) for 6β12 minutes, until yolks are set to your liking. Remove toast earlier if itβs browned to your preference.

Pro Tips, Testing Notes & Timing
- Keep it level: If the halves wobble, make a small foil nest so the egg doesnβt spill.
- Yolk doneness guide: 6β7 min soft; 8β9 min medium; 10β12 min set (times vary by model and egg size).
- Different air fryers: Dual-zone and toaster-style units can run hotter; start checking 1β2 minutes earlier.
- Overflow fix: If your cavity is small, crack the egg into a bowl, spoon in some white first, then top with yolk.
- Toast options: Pull toast when ready, or skip and use your toaster/oven broiler.
Topping & Flavor Ideas
- Classic: Everything bagel seasoning + chives
- Southwest: Salsa or hot sauce + cilantro + squeeze of lime
- BLT-ish: Crumbled bacon + tomato + parsley
- Italian: Freshly grated parmesan + cracked pepper
- Heat lovers: Chili crisp or red pepper flakes
Make-Ahead & Storage
- Best fresh for ideal texture; avocados can brown if held.
- If needed, refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container up to 24 hours; reheat gently at 300Β°F for 2β3 minutes.
Helpful Tools We Use
- Air-fryer-safe parchment liners
- Instant-read thermometer (handy if you prefer set whites)
FAQs
Can I make baked air fryer avocado eggs and toast dairy-free and gluten-free?
Yesβthereβs no dairy in the base recipe, and simply skip the toast for gluten-free.
How do I avoid overcooking?
Start checking at 6 minutes and pull when whites are opaque and yolks jiggle to your preference. Residual heat will carry over slightly.
My egg keeps spilling outβhelp!
Scoop a bit more avocado to widen the well, level the avocado with a foil ring, and add part of the white first, then the yolk.

Air Fryer Avocado Eggs
Equipment
Ingredients
- 2 avocados
- 4 eggs
- 2-4 slices bread optional
Instructions
- Cut the avocados in half lengthwise. Remove the pit of the avocado by whacking it with your knife and then twisting.. Carve out some of the avocado flesh so you can make room in the pit for an egg. Do this for each of the avocado halves. You want it to be shallow, but not all the way to the skin of the avocado.Β
- Place parchment paper in the air fryer basket. I like to use parchment paper in the air fryer when making this recipe because it will make cleaning up the air fryer basket easier. Especially if some of the egg overflows onto the air fryer basket.
- Place the avocados on top of the parchment paper. Place bread slices around the avocados. Crack 1 egg into the cavity of each avocado half. Season with salt and pepper. At this point, you can add any additional seasonings or toppings that you love. For example, cumin, lime juice, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, or parmesan cheese.
- Air fry everything in the air fryer at 370 Β°F for 6-12 minutes, or until the eggs are done to your liking. (Note- Feel free to remove the toast from the air fryer basket at any point that they are toasted to your liking).
- Remove from the air fryer basket and enjoy!

I love that you can cook (turkey) bacon with it. Everything at once!!!!!
Thank you so very much!!!
Great idea, Sheri! Thanks for the review!
Hi,
I have a question.
I don’t have a dual heat air fryer. So, does the time make a difference on cooking your recipes?
Hi Sheri, fantastic question! I’ve noticed that there isn’t a cooking time difference between the two models. If anything, the Dual Blaze may be a minute or two faster. I do a comparison video here to show what I am talking about. https://youtu.be/4BxYkkpno2s
Delicious.
Yay!
Cooked this in my brand new InstaPot airfryer as directed, starting at 6 minutes because I wanted runny yolks. Toast perfect, eggs not done, whites runny. Cooked 3 more min. Tried to eat it, whites runny. Back in for 3 min. Whites runny. Yolks now gelled. Now I’m frustrated so up to 400 for 2 min. Yolks rubber, whites runny. Colossal fail.
Hey Lori, so sorry to hear that it didn’t work out! Eggs are hard to get right in the air fryer. You could try starting with a higher temp next time to see if that will cook the whites quicker.
