Pumpkin Pie Spice Recipe

Make your own pumpkin pie spice for all those delicious pumpkin recipes!

Ever wanted to make some fall pumpkin recipes only to find out that you don’t have the pumpkin pie spice that the recipe calls for? Save yourself a trip to store and see if you have these spices instead. If you make it yourself you can save some money because those little containers of pumpkin pie spice can be expensive.

In fact, what I really recommend doing is mixing up some of this homemade pumpkin pie spice each fall for your baking endeavors. Skip the stuff from the store! And if you haven’t made a recipe before that calls for pumpkin pie spice, you should! It wouldn’t be a real fall without it, right?! 😉

A cute jar of homemade pumpkin pie spice with the recipe attached would actually be a fun little holiday gift for anyone that loves fall baking! You could even include some awesome magnetic measuring spoons if you want to take it up a notch.

This pumpkin pie spice blend includes cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice, and cloves. Add a pinch of pumpkin pie spice to your coffee, tea, or hot chocolate for a warm fall beverage. Try sprinkling some spice on your oatmeal, yogurt, popcorn, or veggies!

Whenever a recipe calls for some of these same spices – cinnamon, nutmeg, etc. – you can just replace the amounts with this pumpkin pie spice blend and it will be fantastic. Throwing together your own pumpkin pie spice blend with this recipe will save you money and it tastes better too!
