- Protein– Mix ground beef or hot Italian sausage into the cream cheese mixture for added protein.
- Spice– Add red pepper flakes or diced jalapenos for a little extra spice.

How to Make Air Fryer Stuffed Mini Bell Peppers
Step 1: Prepare the Peppers
Wash the peppers and slice them in half lengthwise. Remove the seeds and stem. Pat the peppers dry with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture.
Step 2: Fill the Peppers
Fill the pepper halves with the cream cheese spread, about 1-2 tablespoons of cream cheese, although this depends on the size of each pepper and how much cream cheese you like. I like to use enough cream cheese until it is filled completely.
This is also where you can include any mix-ins. Soften the cream cheese in a bowl in the microwave and try mixing in sausage or cheese for more flavor!
Step 3: Season and Bake the Peppers
After the peppers have been filled, place them in the air fryer basket and sprinkle each pepper with Everything But the Bagel seasoning on top to your taste.
Air fry at 350°F (193°C) for 8 minutes or until the pepper is roasted and beginning to brown. Remove them from the air fryer and allow them to cool for a few minutes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are mini peppers good for you?
Yes, mini peppers are definitely good for you! They are low in calories and packed with nutrients. Mini peppers are an excellent source of vitamin C, which supports your immune system, skin health, and overall well-being. They’re also rich in antioxidants, such as beta-carotene, which can help protect your body from oxidative stress.
Additionally, mini peppers provide fiber, which aids digestion, and are a good source of vitamins A and B6. Plus, they’re naturally low in carbs, making them a great option for those following a low-carb or keto diet. Enjoying mini peppers as a snack or in recipes is a healthy, flavorful choice!
Can this mini-peppers recipe work for regular peppers?
Since we want this to be more of a snack or appetizer, I would not use the large regular peppers.
Plus, you would have to use so much cream cheese. Large bell peppers are better for a meal like our Stuffed Bell Peppers Dinner recipe or Air Fryer Stuffed Bell Pepper Breakfast.
Final Thoughts
These Stuffed Sweet Mini Peppers are the perfect combination of flavor and simplicity, and they’re a great low-carb option for any meal or snack. Whether you’re hosting a party or just craving something light and tasty, these bites will not disappoint.
Enjoy every savory, colorful bite guilt-free – because sometimes the best things really do come in the smallest packages!

Thank you, Cathy! I make these as “healthy” nachos for my family, putting refried beans in them instead of cream cheese. I top them with low-cal cheese, jalapenos, light sour cream, and low sodium Salsa. I never thought about using my Air Fryer. I am going to try these today, they look so delicious. Thank you for the great new inspirational ideas!
Hey Sheila, this is such a great idea! Thanks for sharing!
Excellent, excellent, excellent. They came out perfectly the first time I made them a couple days ago. They are so yummy, that I am making more this evening. I make my own seed topping, by stirring together white sesame seeds, poppy seeds and granulated garlic, for a nice pop of flavor. Thank you for this great (and somewhat healthy, ha) air fryer snack, Kathy! Oh, and I use 1/3 reduced fat Philly cream cheese. A little less indulgent than full fat cream cheese, but just as delicious! This has taken mini-peppers to the next level 😉
Thanks for the comment, Christine! So glad you enjoy them too!
