Plus, this recipe is so fun to prepare. I love making this with my kids on weekends or during the holiday season to bring a little more excitement to our lives.
Air Fryer Raspberry French Toast Cups
This recipe is simple to prepare. Here are the ingredients you will need to make the best French toast cups.
- 4 slices Italian bread, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- 1 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
- 4 ounces cream cheese, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 tablespoon maple syrup
How to Make to French Toast Cups in the Air Fryer
The first step is to prepare the ingredients of course. Cut the bread and cream cheese into 1/2 inch cubes. Then, lightly grease 4, 8-ounce ramekins. Next, divide the bread cubes into 4 equals parts. Place some of the bread into each of the ramekins. Add raspberries and cream cheese. Top with remaining bread.
In a small bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, and syrup together. Then, pour over the bread. Next, cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. You can have it refrigerate overnight if desired.
How long should I cook French toast cups in the air fryer?
When you are ready to cook in the air fryer, preheat the air fryer to 325°F/160°C for 3-5 minutes. Place the ramekins in the air fryer basket. Cook for 12-15 minutes at 325°F/160°C, until golden brown and puffed.
Depending on the size of your air fryer and the size of your ramekins, you should be able to place 2-4 ramekins in the air fryer basket. Adjust the recipe as needed for your air fryer.
Delicious Raspberry Lemon Syrup
While this recipe is yummy by itself, you have to try it with these delicious and homemade raspberry lemon syrup. For this recipe, you need:
- 4 teaspoons cornstarch
- 2/3 cup water
- 4 cups fresh or frozen raspberries, divided
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
- Ground cinnamon, optional
In a saucepan, combine cornstarch and water until smooth. Then, add 3 cups of the raspberries, lemon juice, syrup and lemon zest. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Cook and stir until thickened, about 2 minutes. Strain and discard seeds; cool slightly. Gently stir remaining 1 cup berries into syrup.

- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
- ground cinnamon optional, to taste
Instructions
French Toast Cups

Would this still be good with frozen strawberries you think? Also, should you thaw them before adding them to the cups? (I already have a bunch of frozen strawberries, so was thinking I’d use those instead of buying raspberries!)
Hi Karen, yes you can use the frozen strawberries. I would definitely that them to room temp, as they will release enough liquid that it could affect the results.
