How to Make Homemade Granola
This recipe is deliciously easy! To make homemade granola, you need:
- ½ cups Rolled oats Old fashioned whole grain
- ¼ cup coconut flakes (unsweetened) or shaved almonds
- ½ cup pumpkin seeds shelled
- ⅛ cup flax seeds
- ⅛ cup honey (42 grams)
- ⅛ cup real maple syrup (42 grams)
- ⅛ cup coconut oil melted into liquid form (can substitute with butter or oil of choice)
- ¼ tsp salt
I like to measure out the honey and maple syrup in grams using my kitchen scale. This makes preparing easier and quicker!
Make Granola for the Air Fryer
You will be surprised with how easy it is to cook the granola in the air fryer. But before that, be sure to combine the rolled oats, coconut flakes, pumpkin seeds and flax seeds in a bowl. Then, in a separate bowl, combine the coconut oil, honey, maple syrup, and salt. They will combine easier if you heat them in the microwave for 15-30 seconds. Next, drizzle the liquid mixture over the dry ingredients and gently toss/stir until evenly coated.
How to Bake Granola in the Air Fryer
Then it is time to bake the granola in the air fryer. Place the granola in an even layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 4 minutes at 340°F/ 170°C. I recommend using a silicone spatula to separate and mix the granola mixture within the air fryer basket.
Cook for an additional 4 minutes and again stir the granola. Then, cook for a further 2-3 minutes, or until the granola is a light golden brown. Pour onto a parchment lined cookie sheet and let cool completely.
Enjoy with your favorite yogurt and berries. And, store in an airtight container.
Final Thoughts
Homemade granola is super easy and affordable! While the initial purchase of the ingredients might be more expensive than buying granola from the store, this homemade granola lasts a lot longer, and tastes way better too. We love eating this granola with homemade instant pot yogurt. How do you like to serve granola?

Love your website and YouTube channel. I am new to air frying. I just purchased a 8 qt Ninja Food XL. My question is since I have the 8 qt capacity air fryer can I increase the quantities in this recipe, and if so, by how much? Thanks.
Turned out delicious! The only thing I changed is instead of pumpkin seeds, I added 1/4 cup slivered almonds since that’s what I have on hand. Great recipe!
Wonderful! Glad it worked out!
