Ways to change up the flavors
The awesome thing about this recipe is that you can make so many different flavors of pizza by doing a pizza bar, and place the prepared pizzas on a cookie sheet or parchment paper while you wait to cook the pizzas.
Change the sauce: Alfredo, homemade pizza sauce, pesto, and BBQ sauce
Mix up the cheeses: Parmesan cheese, Mozzarella cheese, Asiago cheese, and Feta cheese
Brush the biscuit with melted butter to add even more flavor and crunch to the biscuit.
More pizza toppings
Kids love having plenty of pizza options to choose from when we make personal pizzas. Here are some that we love to use:
- Fresh basil
- Slices of tomatoes
- Sliced mozzarella cheese
- Pineapple
- Ground Italian sausage
- Black olives
- Red pepper flakes (for more spice)
How to make this Air Fryer Biscuit Pizza:
Step 1: Prepare the dough
Flatten each biscuit with a rolling pin on a flat surface and then with a fork, pierce each flattened biscuit several times. This helps keep the dough from shrinking back.
Step 2: Precook the biscuits
Place the biscuits in the air fryer basket. Air fry at 360F for 4 minutes.
It’s likely that the biscuits puffed up during cooking. If so, with a spoon gently press down on the biscuits to flatten them again.
Flip the biscuits, and if needed, flatten the reverse side with a spoon. Air fry the other side of the biscuits for 2-3 more minutes at 360 degrees F or 182 degrees C, or until the biscuits are slightly golden.
Step 3: Build your pizza
After the biscuit has precooked, add marinara sauce to each biscuit, about 1-2 tbsp of sauce (or however much you prefer).
Then spread the sauce around the biscuit and add Italian seasoning to taste if desired.
Top the sauce with cheese and toppings of your choice, and a little more cheese.
Step 4: Finish cooking pizza
Air fry at 360 degrees F or 182 degrees C for 3 minutes, or until cheese is melted to your liking.
Then carefully remove and enjoy!
