How to prepare the meat

Before you make this lasagna meat sauce, you will want to cook the ground beef ahead of time. The meat will not cook through properly in the air fryer like any other traditional lasagna recipe you might have made in the oven.

Meat to use for this pasta sauce mixture

Our recipe calls for about 8 oz of ground beef, but you can also use what you might have on hand.

Either ground beef, ground Italian sausage, or ground turkey would be great options to add to the meat sauce.

Sauce to use for lasagna:

Off of personal preference, we love a red meat sauce, but you can also turn this into a delicious white sauce lasagna if you want.

Oven-ready pasta noodles

While the oven-ready noodles are a great way to speed up making lasagna, I would not suggest them for this recipe.

When you cook in the oven, it gives the noodles longer to soften and become tender. You do not need the same timeframe for the air fryer, so they will not cook through.

How to make this Air Fryer Lasagna for One or Two:

Step 1: Prepare the lasagna noodles

Cook the lasagna noodles according to package directions. Then let them cool off and cut them in half.

Step 2: Prepare ground beef

Step 3: Assemble the lasagna

Make the lasagna by spraying the air fryer dish with oil and then place one half of a lasagna noodle in the dish.

Next layer on the ricotta cheese, marinara sauce, and ground beef along with any additional lasagna toppings.

Step 4: Repeat layers

After finishing the first layer, place another cooked noodle and then repeat for the next two layers.

Once you have the layers finished, place a last noodle and then add marinara sauce over top of the noodle and top with mozzarella cheese to taste.

Step 5: Air fry lasagna

When the layers have been finished, cover the dish with foil, placing the dish in the air fryer basket and air fry at 380 degrees F or 193 degrees C for 12 minutes. TIP: spray the underside of the foil lightly with oil to keep it from sticking to the cheese.

Step 6: The final cook

Following the 12 minutes, remove the foil, and bump the heat up to 400 degrees F or 200 degrees and air fry for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until lasagna is warmed through to your liking and the cheese is nice and toasty, then top with some parmesan cheese. Let stand a few minutes before you cut and serve.

  • Horrible recipe, but with a little twecking I made it work. Using an original Cosorsi and corning ware casserole dish that fits in basket your going to need more than 2 noodles. I ended up using 4 each cut in half to make the layers. 380 for 12 minutes was not enough. using instant read thermometer needed as least 18 minutes to get center to desirable temperature and then 4 minutes to melt the cheese.. 1/4 ricotta cheese, 1/4 what, 1/4 cup, 1/4 container? And use at least 1/2 pound of meat (more if your a meat lover). Mozzarella to taste? Your kidding!
