When Is Amazon Prime Big Deal Days 2026?

Amazon Prime Big Deal Days 2026 runs October 6–7. The event begins at 12:01 a.m. PDT on Tuesday, October 6 and lasts 48 hours.

Amazon says Prime members will be able to shop millions of deals across more than 35 categories, including electronics, home, kitchen, fashion, beauty, toys, Halloween, seasonal items, everyday essentials and early holiday gifts.

Unlike the four-day summer Prime Day event, October’s Prime Big Deal Days lasts two days.

Is Prime Big Deal Days the Same as Prime Day?

Not exactly.

Amazon Prime Day 2026 was Amazon’s big summer shopping event and ran June 23–26. It was a four-day sale focused heavily on summer shopping, electronics, back-to-school and Amazon devices.

Prime Big Deal Days is Amazon’s fall Prime-member shopping event. In 2026, it runs October 6–7 and is geared more toward fall needs, Halloween, seasonal entertaining and getting an early start on holiday shopping.

Both are Prime-exclusive shopping events, but they are separate sales.

Do You Need a Prime Membership?

Yes. Prime Big Deal Days is a Prime-member shopping event.

But before paying full price for Prime, check whether you qualify for one of Amazon’s free or discounted options:

  • Amazon Prime 30-Day Free Trial — available to eligible customers.
  • Prime for Young Adults — eligible higher-education students and young adults ages 18–24 can get a 6-month $0 trial, followed by discounted membership at $7.49/month or $69/year.
  • Prime Access — qualifying government-assistance recipients and income-verified customers can get a 30-day trial followed by Prime for $6.99/month.
  • Amazon Family — eligible Prime benefits can be shared with one other adult living in the same primary household.

What Are Today’s Big Deals?

One of the biggest things to know about the 2026 event is that Amazon will release new limited-time offers as Today’s Big Deals three times each day:

  • 12 a.m. PDT
  • 8 a.m. PDT
  • 1 p.m. PDT

Amazon says these drops will feature deals across categories including beauty, technology, kitchen, fashion and home. Offers are available while supplies last.

So don’t assume you’ve seen everything if you check Amazon once in the morning. New featured deals will arrive throughout both days.

Our preference? Don’t spend two days refreshing Amazon.

What Will Be on Sale During Prime Big Deal Days?

Amazon says the event will include millions of deals across more than 35 categories. Based on Amazon’s current announcements, watch for:

  • Amazon Devices: Echo, Kindle, Fire TV, Ring, Blink and other Amazon devices and bundles.
  • Electronics: TVs, headphones, computers, smart-home devices, chargers and accessories from brands including Sony, Canon and Soundcore by Anker.
  • Home & Kitchen: Cookware, appliances, bedding, fall décor, entertaining essentials and products from brands including Shark and Caraway.
  • Beauty & Personal Care: Skincare, hair care, cosmetics and personal-care products, including offers from brands such as Tarte and Dove.
  • Fashion: Fall apparel, shoes and accessories, with Amazon advertising savings of up to 45% in select fall fashion categories.
  • Toys & Gifts: Holiday gifts and toys from brands including LEGO, Play-Doh and others, plus Amazon’s annual Top 100+ Toys list.
  • Halloween: Costumes and accessories starting at $5, candy under $10 and select party supplies and décor.
  • Groceries & Everyday Essentials: Pantry staples, household basics, personal care and select fresh grocery offers.
  • Holiday Shopping: Amazon’s Holiday Shop is already open with gift guides, holiday décor and early gifting ideas.

The important part: a big percentage-off badge doesn’t automatically make something a good deal. Team Fab compares current prices, recent pricing when available and competing retailers before we call something Fab-worthy.

Amazon Shopping Tools Worth Using

Amazon has added more tools to help shoppers track prices instead of relying solely on the percentage-off badge.

  • Price History: On eligible Amazon product pages, tap the Price History link to see available historical pricing.
  • Alexa Deal Alerts: Ask Alexa for Shopping to alert you when products or categories you’re interested in go on sale.
  • Target Price Alerts: Set a price you’re willing to pay and get notified if an eligible item reaches it.
  • Lists: Add items you’re considering to an Amazon List so it’s easier to check which saved products drop in price.
  • Alexa for Shopping: Ask whether items on your Lists are currently on sale rather than searching for each product individually.

Smart Prime Big Deal Days Shopping Strategy

A deal on something you didn’t need isn’t really savings.

I’ve covered Amazon’s major sales for years, and one of the easiest mistakes is getting caught up in countdowns, percentages and the feeling that you have to buy something immediately.

Here’s what I recommend:

  • Make your list before October 6. Separate things you actually need from things you’d simply like to have.
  • Set a budget. Decide how much you’re comfortable spending before the deals start.
  • Check price history. Don’t rely solely on the advertised percentage off.
  • Compare retailers. Walmart and Target have major sales happening at nearly the same time.
  • Watch the final price. Coupons, promo codes, rewards and membership benefits can change which retailer actually has the better deal.
  • Don’t buy because a timer tells you to. Limited-time deals can create urgency that doesn’t necessarily mean the price is exceptional.
  • Use alerts instead of constantly browsing. Let the Fab App help you keep up with worthwhile offers.
  • It’s completely fine to skip the sale. If something isn’t in your budget or you don’t need it, passing is the best deal of all.

Don’t Shop Amazon in a Vacuum

This is especially important in October 2026 because Amazon isn’t the only retailer holding a major sale.

  • Walmart Deals: begins October 5
  • Amazon Prime Big Deal Days: October 6–7
  • Target Circle Deal Days: October 6–7, with select Circle 360 early access October 5

That overlap is good news for shoppers. Retailers frequently compete on popular electronics, toys, appliances, household products and holiday gifts.

Before buying an expensive item on Amazon, take a minute to check the competing price.
