Important: Updated 6/3/2026. Amazon has officially confirmed that Prime Day 2026 runs June 23–26, with early deals and limited-time offers already available now.
What Is Amazon Prime Day?
Amazon Prime Day is the biggest sale event Amazon runs all year — exclusive to Prime members, with deep discounts across electronics, home, kitchen, beauty, fashion, groceries, toys, back-to-school, Amazon devices, and more. It started in 2015 as a 24-hour birthday celebration for Amazon, and it has grown into a multi-day event that rivals Black Friday.
For 2026, Prime Day is officially running for four full days — June 23–26 — giving shoppers an earlier start on summer essentials, travel, groceries, outdoor fun, and back-to-school shopping.
I’ve been covering Prime Day since the early days, and every year the deals get better and the window moves faster. My team tracks hundreds of drops in real time so you don’t have to. That’s the whole point. — Stacy

When Is Amazon Prime Day 2026?
Amazon Prime Day 2026 officially runs June 23–26. The event starts at 12:01 a.m. PDT on Tuesday, June 23, and continues through Friday, June 26. This is a four-day event — the same format as the record-breaking 2025 Prime Day.
This is the first June Prime Day since 2021, giving shoppers an earlier start on summer savings, household essentials, Amazon devices, travel offers, groceries, and back-to-school prep. Amazon confirmed the event will feature millions of deals across more than 35 categories, including clothing, beauty, kitchen, home, electronics, groceries, and more.

Winners are announced weekly leading up to Prime Day. See Amazon’s grocery sweepstakes page for full terms including a free way to enter.

These offers are date-sensitive and location-dependent. Always check the terms and redemption details before counting on them.
Prime Perks That Stack on Prime Day
Prime Day isn’t just about the sale prices. Stacking your Prime benefits on top of the deals is where the real savings happen. Here’s what to layer in:
- Subscribe & Save: Stack S&S discounts on household essentials with Prime Day pricing for double savings.
- Amazon Prime Visa: Cardholders earn 5% back on Amazon purchases year-round. During Prime Day, earn 7% back on eligible purchases with No-Rush Delivery, and 10% back or more on exclusive deals (June 23–26). Terms apply.
- No-Rush Shipping Credits: If you’ve been accumulating these, Prime Day is the perfect time to redeem them.
- Amazon Day Delivery: Bundle your orders into one delivery day to keep things organized.

What to Expect: Categories & Brands
Here’s where to expect the biggest savings during Prime Day 2026, based on Amazon’s confirmed announcements and historical patterns:
- Amazon Devices: Echo, Kindle, Fire TV, Ring, Blink, and eero are historically the best Prime Day buys — and Amazon has already confirmed deep discounts this year. See our Prime Day shopping tool guide.
- Electronics: Apple, Samsung, Sony, Beats, Bose, LG, headphones, tablets, TVs, and smart home devices. Browse tech deals.
- Home & Kitchen: Ninja, Dyson, KitchenAid, Shark, Breville, Instant Pot, cookware, appliances, vacuums, and small kitchen tools. Kitchen inspiration.
- Beauty & Personal Care: Skincare, hair care, premium beauty, sunscreen, hygiene products, and beauty devices. Amazon confirmed brands like La Roche-Posay, The Ordinary, and Dyson for Prime Day beauty deals.
- Toys & Back-to-School: Amazon specifically called out back-to-school shopping for 2026 — supplies, backpacks, lunch boxes, tablets, laptops, and school-year basics. Featured brands include Little Tikes and more. Toy deals.
- Groceries & Pantry: Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods, snacks, household staples, beverages, pet food, and Subscribe & Save-friendly items. Grocery deals.
- Fashion: Levi’s, Sol de Janeiro, Amazon Essentials, Stanley, Our Place, shoes, summer clothing, bags, and family basics. Fashion deals.
- Small Businesses: Amazon features independent brands during Prime Day — a great opportunity to discover unique products from sellers like BUNMO, TruSkin, and EAGLE PEAK.
Amazon confirmed that Today’s Big Deals will drop three times daily during Prime Day — at 12 a.m., 8 a.m., and 1 p.m. PDT — with five or more featured deals in each drop, many at 50% off. New deals may also drop as often as every five minutes during select periods. The best strategy: use alerts instead of refreshing endlessly.
Budget Tips & Smart Shopping Strategy
Prime Day is exciting — and that’s exactly what makes it dangerous for your wallet. The best Prime Day strategy starts before you ever open Amazon.
Here’s what I do every year: I make a list before the event — things I actually need, things I’ve had on my wishlist for months, and a rough dollar limit for “nice to have” items. Then I stick to it. The deals go fast and the FOMO is real, but a deal on something you didn’t need isn’t a deal — it’s just spending.
My top budget rules for Prime Day:
- Set a firm dollar limit before you start browsing
- Separate your list into “needs” and “wants” — shop the needs first
- Use the Fab App to get alerted only on what’s on your list
- It is 100% OK to skip Prime Day entirely if the budget isn’t there right now
- Don’t let Lightning Deal countdowns pressure you into impulse buys
- Check price history before buying, especially on big-ticket items
👉 Download the Fab App and subscribe to our Hot Deals emails to get only the deals you care about — nothing more. For more smart shopping strategies, see our full Prime Day Shopping Tips Guide.
Pro Tips to Score the Best Prices
These are the strategies that actually move the needle, based on years of covering Prime Day:
- Check price history before you buy. Amazon now has a built-in price history feature — tap the “Price history” link on any product detail page to see up to 365 days of pricing. CamelCamelCamel works too. Make sure a “deal” is actually the lowest price it’s been.
- Use Alexa for Shopping. Set deal alerts for specific product needs (“Alert me to deals on noise-canceling headphones”), set target price alerts, or even turn on auto-buy if you know exactly what you want at a specific price.
- Stack coupons + S&S + Prime Day pricing. Some products let you clip a coupon AND apply Subscribe & Save on top of the sale price. That’s three layers of savings at once.
- Watch for invite-only deals. Request invites on items you want before the event starts when available. See our tool guide.
- Check Today’s Big Deals drops. Three times daily at 12 a.m., 8 a.m., and 1 p.m. PDT — set reminders so you don’t miss the waves.
- Don’t ignore competing retailers. Walmart, Target, and Best Buy run competing sales during Prime Day. Sometimes the best price isn’t on Amazon at all.
- Let us do the work. Download the app and set your alerts. We vet every deal for real value before we post it.
Other Retailers to Watch
Prime Day always triggers competing sales at major retailers. Here’s where else to shop:
- Walmart weekly deals & matchups
- Target weekly deals & matchups
- Walmart+ vs Amazon Prime — which is worth it?
