As the holiday is coming up, this candied nuts in the air fryer is a great recipe to try out and share with friends and family! I always love to give homemade gifts and this candied nuts recipe would work great for that, not to mention that it is super simple to do.

I love going to Hobby Lobby and Michaels and go get some of their cute little containers and use them to package up and give homemade gifts just like this holiday dessert recipe. So whether you want to make these up just for you, or to share, you are going to love this recipe.

Ingredients and Supplies Needed for This Candied Nuts in the Air Fryer Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • Butter
  • Brown sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • Nutmeg
  • Salt
  • Walnuts
  • Any other spices you like

Supplies:

  • Air fryer
  • Medium mixing bowl
  • Pizza pan dish

For this recipe is important to have a dish that will fit in your air fryer or an air fryer like Cosori 5.8QT air fryer. I have found that using a pizza pan dish is a great way to make these nuts to keep all the flavors around the nuts rather than it the butter and sugar dropping out of the bottom of the basket.

Do I Have to Use Walnuts?

No, you do not! If you happen to not like walnuts or are allergic feel free to use whichever kind you like! Or even create a mix of different nuts.

Give these nuts a try:

  • Pecans
  • Almonds
  • Cashews
  • Spanish peanuts

How Long Do Candied Nuts Last?

Once you make up the candied nuts and they are cooled down, place them in an airtight container and store them in a cool dry area. If you keep them stored well, the nuts can last 1 ½ – 2 months!

How to Make Candied Nuts in the Air Fryer:

Step 1: Mix up the Seasonings

To make these delicious candied nuts, combine the butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt and mix it all together.

Step 2: Season the Nuts

Pour the nuts into the bowl with the brown sugar mixture and make sure that all the nuts have been covered in the seasonings.

Step 3: Roast the Walnuts

Once all of the nuts have been seasoned, pour them into the pizza pan and place the pan into the air fryer basket.

Then turn the air fryer on and roast the walnuts for 8-9 minutes at 340F or 170C.
