This ranch rosemary chicken recipe for the air fryer is incredibly easy and even more tasty. You will love this recipe because it doesn’t take more than 15 minutes to cook AND you can prepare it ahead of time to enjoy whenever!

Tasty Ranch Chicken in the Air Fryer

I love this delicious air fryer recipe because you only need 7 ingredients for the marinade. And, they are all household ingredients that you probably already have. If not, a quick and inexpensive stop to the store will ensure you a great and healthy meal that everyone will love! For Rosemary Ranch Chicken, you will need:

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ½ cup ranch salad dressing
  • ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice or red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1½ -2 pounds chicken breasts (about 2-4 chicken breasts)

How to Make Ranch Chicken in the Air Fryer

First, you will need to plan ahead for this meal. After mixing together the marinade ingredients (everything but the chicken), combine it with the chicken in a Ziploc bag or a bowl that you can cover for 8-12 hours.

At this point you could also place the chicken in a freezer bag and make it a freezer meal for another time.

How to Cook Chicken in the Air Fryer

When you are ready to cook your chicken, place chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer, no overlapping. You may have to cook in batches. Air fry at 380˚F/193˚C for about 10 minutes, turning at the halfway point. Depending on thickness, you may need to cook for 2-4 more minutes.

How do I know if chicken is done cooking in the Air Fryer?

Cook the chicken in the air fryer until an instant read thermometer inserted into center of thickest part of the chicken reads 160˚F/71.1˚C-163˚F/72.7˚C.

Then, tent the chicken in tin foil for 5-10 minutes to finish cooking (needs to reach 165˚F/74˚C). Once your chicken reaches this internal, then it is ready to be sliced and served.

Pulling your chicken out early of the air fryer basket, before it reaches 165˚F/74˚C then tenting it, ensures that the chicken will be fully cooked and perfectly juicy.

Two helpful tips for cooking chicken in the air fryer

Chicken is easy to mess up in the air fryer. Make sure you follow these two tips for the best air fryer chicken.

  1. Even out the chicken. To even out chicken, pound the thicker side down so chicken will cook evenly. OR butterfly chicken for more even cooking. I like using a meat pounder for this part.
  2. Use an instant read meat thermometer. Cooking time may vary depending on air fryer and chicken breast size. Use a meat thermometer to ensure your chicken doesn’t overcook and dry out.
