How do I make a pizookie?
A pizookie is like a very large cookie, so you will need cookie dough ingredients to make it of course! The cookie recipe I am using to make my air fryer pizookie is an old time favorite of mine. Of course, you can use any of your favorite chocolate chip cookie dough recipes.
To make chocolate chip cookie bowls, you will need:
- 1 cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- 5 ½ tablespoons unsalted butter melted and cooled slightly
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoons vanilla
- ¾ cups chocolate chips (you can use any of your favorite chocolate chip flavors- semi-sweet, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, etc.)
Can I air fry a pizookie?
Air fried pizookies are so delicious and easy! To make an air fryer pizookie you will either want to use 3 to 4 ramekin dishes, or 1 air fryer pizza pan. I got my pizza pan in my air fryer accessory kit.

5. Fold in the chocolate chips and spread the dough into the prepared pan, smoothing the top with the spatula.
How do I make a pizookie?
Assembling the cookie bowl, or pizookie, is so simple!
1. Place about 2 tablespoons of dough mixture into a 6 ounce ramekin.
2. Place 3-4 ramekins in the air fryer basket.
3. Cook at 320 degrees Fahrenheit or 160 degrees Celsius for 6-7 minutes (or until dough is almost cooked to your liking), then let the ramekins sit inside the warm air fryer for a couple of minutes to let it finish setting.
Special Air Fryer Pizookie Recipe Notes
As noted, I cooked the dough for 6-7 minutes in the air fryer. With this time, the dough was still somewhat wet, but we had it sit for several minutes and it was our favorite consistency.
If you cook for 9 minutes then let the cookies set, the dough/cookies are pretty dried out (if that is what you love, then cook for up to 9 minutes).
The key to tasty cookies is to let it sit for several minutes, after baking, before enjoying
Pizookie Topping Ideas
I love to enjoy this recipe with my favorite vanilla ice cream and homemade hot fudge sauce! You may also enjoy pizookies with
- caramel
- peanut butter
- MnM’s or other small candies
- sprinkles
- nuts such as pecans
But, honestly, these cookies taste just as good all my themselves. Plus, they are way more fun to eat than a normal cookie!
Other Ways You Can Make Air Fryer Pizookies
If you don’t have all the ingredients on hand to make homemade cookie dough, or if you don’t have ramekins, there are other variations to this recipe that you can try out. Check them out!
Use a pizza pan
I love mini pizookies because they are so much easier to eat all by yourself. But, you can also make this recipe like a traditional pizookie in an air fryer pizza pan. Make the dough and layer it on the pizza pan.
Cook the pizookie in the air fryer at 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius for 8-13 minutes, depending on how done you want your cookie to be.
Use a different recipe
You don’t have to make a chocolate chip pizookie, or use my cookie dough recipe. Use your own favorite!
Or, you can switch out the chocolate chips with
- white chocolate chips and pecans
- MnM’s
- Peanut butter chips
- etc
Although, I haven’t tried this, I am sure these pizookies would still taste amazing with one of these recipes!
- Sour Cream Sugar Cookies
- Cake Mix Cookies
- Turtle Brownie Cookies
- S’mores Cookies
- Dairy-Free Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Pumpkin Cookies
- Pumpkin Gingersnap Cookies
- Chocolate Cookies
Use prepackaged cookie dough
If you don’t want to go through the hassle to make your own cookie batter, you can use prepackaged, and premade cookie dough! My favorite brand is Sweet Loren’s because they are gluten free, dairy free, vegan, and are peanut/tree nut free! You can use any of your favorite cookie dough brands like Pillsbury, Tollhouse, or Nestle.

Hi,
I tried this for the first time. I did not have the ramekins so I used the 7″ pizza pan that I got for my Cosori air fryer. I had to cook this a lot longer than the directions. Almost 20 minutes to get the inside cooked. Did you use a bigger size pizza pan? Or is the inside supposed to be runny
Hi M C,
Thanks for sharing your review with us! I appreciate the feedback and learning what works/doesn’t work for y’all!
No, you want your cookie to be cooked and not runny for ultimate tastiness! Honestly, I have yet to try this recipe in the 7-inch pizza pan and used the temp/time for the pizza pan from what a different recipe blog suggested. Additionally, all air fryer cooking times are approximate since air fryer makes and models are different. You can expect it to never be exact. That is why it is so important to keep an eye on your food and adjust the time as needed. I’m sorry this took so much longer than expected!
Thanks again for sharing your feedback.
