Family Movie Night Movie Ideas In February!

Happy February!  As the weather cools settle in with one of these great family-friendly movies and series coming to Amazon Prime Video this month.

Pull out the popcorn and snacks and make it an outdoor movie experience with one of these new movies on Prime Video:

• The Wrecking Crew (2026): If your family has older kids (teens), this action-comedy starring Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista is currently the #1 movie on the platform. It’s a high-octane buddy film with plenty of banter.

• Next Goal Wins (2023): Arriving on Prime this February 15th. Directed by Taika Waititi, this is a heartwarming, funny true story about the world’s “worst” soccer team trying to qualify for the World Cup.
• Buffalo Kids: Two orphaned siblings go on a wild cross-country journey in 1886.

• The Bluff (Coming Feb 25): Mark your calendar for late February. Priyanka Chopra stars as an ex-pirate in the 19th century who has to protect her family. Great for families who love a “swashbuckling” adventure.

• How to Train Your Dragon 1 & 2: Both of these are hitting the free service this month. They are widely considered some of the best animated films ever made—perfect for kids and adults alike.

• Night at the Museum Trilogy: All three movies (Night at the Museum, Battle of the Smithsonian, and Secret of the Tomb) are available for free this February. You could even do a weekend marathon!

• Mrs. Doubtfire: A total family classic for a reason. It’s heartfelt, hilarious, and now free to stream.

• Heartland (Season 18): If your family prefers a long-running series over a movie, the newest season of this cozy horse-ranch drama is streaming now.

Start a new series on Amazon Prime Video:

• It’s Not Like That – This is the standout family series for February. Produced by The Wonder Project (the studio behind the massive hit House of David), this series just premiered on Prime Video at the end of January/early February.
• Good Sports – If your family loves a good laugh and sports trivia, this new series starring Kevin Hart and Kenan Thompson is dropping weekly episodes throughout February.

• Relationship Goals: This is the big romantic comedy of the month. Starring Kelly Rowland and Method Man, it follows a driven TV producer whose life is upended when her ex-partner resurfaces as her professional rival. It’s got that perfect blend of “will-they-won’t-they” energy and modern humor.

• Love Me Love Me: Just in time for Valentine’s Eve, this YA-inspired romantic drama set in Italy is perfect if you’re looking for something atmospheric, aesthetic, and a little more emotional.

• 56 Days (Streaming Feb 18): If your idea of a date night involves a bit of mystery and suspense, this “erotic thriller” stars Dove Cameron and Avan Jogia
