How to Make Chicken Parmesan in the Air Fryer

It is so easy to make chicken parmesan in the air fryer

To make this a quick and easy dinner, you first need to prep your assembly line for the chicken parmesan. In 3 separate shallow bowls or dishes, you will need:

  1. 1 cup of flour,
  2. 2 eggs beaten together,
  3. ½ cup panko, ½ cup parmesan cheese, 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp Italian seasoning, mixed together.

Once the ingredients are prepped, then its time to prep your chicken!

You will love this crispy air fryer chicken parmesan because it is healthy and tasty!

There are a few other key things to remember for the best parm chicken.

First, pound down your chicken with a meat pounder in between parchment paper. Then place your chicken in the flour, egg, and panko mixture. Second, before you place your assembled chicken in the air fryer, be sure to spray the basket with an air fryer safe oil (such as avocado oil with a misto sprayer) and then spray the chicken in the air fryer basket with a little oil before cooking in the air fryer. This will help the chicken be crispy and delicious!

What to Put on the Top of Air Fryer Parmesan Chicken

Beautiful, creamy, and delicious chicken parmesan in the air fryer is your next dinner that the whole family will love

When your chicken finished cooking in the air fryer, you want it to be at about 160F. It’s okay if it hasn’t reached the ideal temperature of 165F, because it will continue cooking after you add the toppings. However, I recommend that if your chicken isn’t close to 160F on your instant read thermometer, then cook it for a couple of extra minutes before adding the toppings.

For the toppings, add about a tablespoon or two of your favorite red sauce or marinara sauce. I like using this Prego spaghetti sauce. Then add either fresh mozzarella or shredded mozzarella. I LOVE using fresh mozzarella because it adds so much flavor, and looks better too!
