Do I Need Raw or Frozen Chicken Strips?

These wraps are made with frozen breaded chicken strips for the best results. They will crisp up nicely in the air fryer, just like you would get at McDonald’s.

What Sauces Can You Use?

Traditionally McDonald’s served these chicken wraps with ranch and BBQ but that does not mean you can’t use other options!

Some sweet and sour, honey mustard, or even a combination of ranch and BBQ is my personal favorite. Do whatever you like!

How to Make McDonald’s Copycat Snack Wraps:

Step 1: Prepare the Air Fryer

Begin by preheating the air fryer by turning it on to 360 degrees F or 182 degrees C for 5 minutes.

Step 2: Cook the Chicken Tenders

Now, place the frozen crispy chicken strips in the air fryer for about 11-13 minutes at 360 degrees F or 182 degrees C until they are cooked all the way through.

For thicker pieces, it may take longer so just make sure they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F or 74 degrees C.

Step 3: Prepare the Tortillas

While the chicken is cooking, put a tortilla on a plate and squeeze on your favorite sauce, bbq, ranch, honey mustard, whichever you like, I normally do 1-2 tablespoons.

Step 4: Build the Chicken Wraps

After the chicken is cooked all the way, remove the strips from the air fryer and put one of the crispy chicken strips (2 if they are small) on top of the sauce.

Next, layer the shredded lettuce and Monterey cheddar cheese over top of the chicken strip to your liking.

Step 5: Fold the Chicken Wraps

After you have all the lettuce and cheese on the wraps, fold up about 1/3rd of the bottom of the tortilla, then one side of the tortilla into the center to cover the chicken strip, and then fold in the last side.

Continue with all of the tortillas until they are all made, then simply serve and enjoy!

Easy Snacks in the Air Fryer

Recipe Notes

I tend to like my snack wraps saucy so I go heavy on the sauce (I love the ranch and BBQ combo) and then might even dip it in more sauce.
Since the chicken strips are shaped a little funky, you may have to end up using two little ones for some of them.
