Cream Cheese Chicken Crescent Roll Recipe
Easy Freezable Chicken Crescent Rolls
This is an easy recipe to throw together for dinner and as a freezer meal! The chicken filling freezes well so it’s super convenient to make ahead of time and cook later.
Of course, if you want to make it for a meal right away, there is no need to freeze it. It can totally be an easy meal ready to serve in less than 30 minutes!
If you want to be really smart, double or triple the recipe, prepare some of it for today and freeze the rest for another time. That’s clever cooking right there.
Filling Your Chicken Crescent Rolls:
The chicken filling for these crescent rolls is simple but full of flavor and the cream cheese really makes it, well, nice and creamy!
I usually use about 1 to 2 tablespoons of filling per roll. Doesn’t have to be exact, just try to use up all of the filling somewhat evenly among the 8 rolls.
By the way, this recipe is a really great way to use up leftover chicken! I love using my KitchenAid mixer to shred chicken super fast.
As mentioned above, you can also freeze the filling part of the recipe for another day. Just make sure to keep a can of the crescent rolls, some milk, and a can of the cream of chicken on hand for when you are ready to enjoy the meal though.
Cooking Your Chicken Crescent Rolls:
For cooking the rolls, follow the instructions on the roll packaging. You can totally make your own crescent roll dough too, but the refrigerated canned dough is super easy! Either way, you’ll end up with a really tasty meal!
This chicken stuffed crescent roll recipe is really similar to one my mom made while I was growing up. We loved it with and without the gravy. I suppose it is similar to biscuits and gravy really, except that it has the chicken filling in there. It definitely fits in the “comfort food” category! Enjoy!

I thought you said NOT to freeze cream cheese? Also you say not to freeze raw eggs but in other recipes posted on this site it includes eggs. This is very annoying why post the recipes if you aren’t supposed to freeze them???????
Cream cheese and eggs can be frozen when incorporated with other things. You just can’t put a case of eggs or a pack of cream cheese in the freezer.
Do you freeze the crescent rolls also or do buy them when you are ready to make this?
I just have them on hand in the fridge. The rolls are usually good in the fridge for 1-2 months. So I will plan to use that freezer meal in that time period, or add the crescent rolls to my shopping list if I want to freeze the meal for a longer time.
These were delicious without the sauce!
