Money Saving Tips: Frozen Grapes

Are you looking for some simple ideas to save money? We have simple solutions that you can easily apply to your lifestyle to save money!

When I find fruit on sale, I like to stock up.  But when I stock up, I run the risk of my fruit rotting.  So, I buy enough for the next few days and I also buy enough to freeze.  Freezing grapes is easy and they are delicious as frozen treats!

Just throw them in a freezer bag and freeze them lying flat so they don’t all stick together.  Remove them from the freezer whenever you want an icy-sweet treat!

We have vines at my home. I freeze the excess in the fall. Grapes make excellent smoothies. About 1 cup frozen grapes, and 1/2 cup plain yogurt blended (adding a little water if it’s too thick to blend). The grapes are very sweet so there’s no need to add sugar.

Also, try freezing them individually on a baking pan, then putting them in ziploc bags. That;s how I freeze my veggies.

Love them… I free my extra fruit…some in slices w/ wax paper between to use as ice cubes in juice or water for entertaining.. it adds flavor and color…

I had an aunt that used to wash the grapes, then roll the wet grapes in sugar before laying flat and freezing. She’d just take a few out of the freezer anytime she wanted a sweet treat.
