Easy Fruit Salad with Honey Lime Dressing Recipe!

This fruit salad is simple, fresh, and delicious. The easy honey lime dressing adds a wonderful tropical flavor to the fresh fruit. A perfect summer side dish for your next BBQ or meal!

Pick your favorite fruits or whatever is on sale or in season at the time. I recommend trying to get a variety of colors and textures in there though, so keep that in mind when you are picking out your produce.

I often use strawberries, nectarines, grapes, kiwi, and blueberries. They work well in the salad and taste great with the honey lime dressing! Some other delectable fruit options would be: apples, pear, blackberries, raspberries, pineapple, mango, mandarin oranges, honeydew melon, cantaloupe, pomegranate, or banana.

Yeah, you could just throw all the fruit in a bowl and it would be great as is, but the dressing makes it even better! This honey lime dressing is quick and easy and just adds the perfect touch of flavor to bring it all together. You only need a couple limes and a few tablespoons of honey. That touch of lime is a fun, refreshing flavor! By the way, this is the zester and the juicer that I use and love.

Serve this fruit salad in a large bowl or stick the fruit onto skewers. I utilized some 12-inch bamboo skewers and the kids thought it was pretty fun to do and to eat. Kebabs are handy for utensil-free eating, and fun for the kids, but it obviously takes more time than just throwing it all in a bowl. 😉

Honey Lime Fruit Salad Recipe

Yield: about 8 cups | Serves: 8

Ingredients

  • 1 pound strawberries, hulled and cut into 1-inch chunks or halves
  • 4 nectarines, cut into 1-inch chunks
  • 5 kiwi, peeled and cut into 1-inch chunks
  • 2 cups grapes
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • Dressing:

  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 2-3 tablespoons fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruit and put it all in a large bowl.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the dressing ingredients.
  3. Right before serving, pour the dressing over the fruit and toss gently to combine. If desired, thread the coated fruit onto skewers. Best if served right away or within an hour of preparing.

Notes

It is best to serve this fruit salad within an hour of making it.
