How to Make Gingerbread Bites
Step 1: Make the Soft Cream Cheese Filling
Mix 1 tablespoon of sugar and the softened cream cheese in a small bowl. I like to use a fork to mash the cream cheese and sugar together. You will love this recipe for the creamy and soft cream cheese in the middle. Take the filling to the next level; this recipe is customizable, offering endless possibilities for holiday fun!
Step 2: Fill the Dough
Unroll the crescent dough. Evenly place a tablespoon of cream cheese every couple inches or so on the crescent dough. You’ll be able to put 12-16 cream cheese centers on the dough— this will depend on how thick you want the gingerbread bites to be.
Step 3: Form a Dough Ball
I like to take a knife or a pizza cutter and cut the dough evenly into squares around the cream cheese.
After this, gently fold the crescent dough to cover the cream cheese. Pinch the dough together so that no cream cheese escapes.
Step 4: Spice Mixture
Mix the spice ingredients in a small bowl. Dip the bites into the spice mixture and cover completely.
Step 5: Air Fry
Place the bites in a lightly sprayed air fryer basket on parchment paper and cook for 8-9 minutes at 350°F/175°C.
Storage Tips
How do you store gingerbread bites?
- Allow the gingerbread bites to cool completely before storing them prevent moisture buildup.
- Place them in an airtight container, then:
- Store them at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- Store them in the refrigerator for 1 week.
- Store them in the freezer for up to 3 months. If freezing, separate layers with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
How long do you reheat bread bites in the air fryer?
Reheat in the air fryer at 300°F (150°C) for 2-3 minutes for a freshly baked texture.

OMG! I was just looking at recipes, got an email & it’s this recipe. I’m going to add much of it onto my shopping list. I’m hoping it will work with Splenda (diabetic) & I’ll play with the spices as I hate nutmeg & cloves – I’ll probably goes apple pie with some ginger. I’ll let you know how it goes.
