Amazon had better take a look around because there is a new and major competitor to their Amazon Prime service. Walmart entered the playing field in direct competition for Amazon’s Prime customers, with their new Walmart+ service. This subscription service is only $98 a year (vs $139 for Amazon Prime) and includes same-day delivery of groceries, discounts on fuel, and other perks.

Walmart+ includes:

• Unlimited same-day delivery of groceries and other goods from Walmart Supercenters.
• Limited access to Walmart’s new Express two-hour delivery offering.
• Discounts on fuel at 10,000 Walmart partner gas stations like Mobil and Exxon, and member prices at Sam’s Club gas stations.
• Early access to product deals om events like Black Friday!
• Scan & Go service that allows you to check out in Walmart stores without waiting in line.
• Walmart also has plans to add video entertainment components to the program, though the details of this remain unclear.

Walmart hopes your 30-day trial will be valuable enough that customers will pay $98 for the full year. Shoppers can decide for themselves.
