Flavorful Sausage, Potato, and Onion in the Air Fryer
Air Fryer Sausage, Potatoes, and Onions
Today’s air fryer recipe is a special one because it’s incredibly easy to make and very flavorful. My favorite thing about this recipe is that you don’t need to add any spices (unless you want to, of course) and you still get a healthy, filling dinner that is so tasty!
The Best Sausage, Potato, Onion Bake in the Air Fryer
You are going to love this air fryer recipe because it is a fast and easy one. First, you will need to cut and prepare your ingredients for the air fryer. Can you guess what you will need for this Sausage, Potato, and Onion Bake in the air fryer?
- 1.5 lbs baby potatoes
- 2 Bell peppers
- 1 Sweet onion
- 12-14 oz precooked sausage
- 1-2 teaspoons avocado oil
I love having my ingredients be a little bigger than bite-sized, but feel free to size them however you want. If you do make them smaller, you will need to decrease the cooking time.
For the baby potatoes, I kept them whole. But you can cut them in half if you feel like they are too big.
How to Cook Sausage, Onion, Pepper in the Air Fryer
Once all your ingredients are prepped, you will first toss the onion and pepper in a bowl with some oil. Then, spread the onions and peppers evenly in your air fryer basket. Next, add in your potatoes and spray using your Misto Oil Sprayer. Cook in the air fryer at 370F for 10-12 minutes (remember this time will depend on the size of your vegetables).
After 10 minutes, add sausage into the air fryer basket and cook for an additional 10 minutes (If you cut your sausage into smaller pieces, cook for about 3-5 minutes) or until potatoes are cooked through.

Would it make a difference (time) if I omitted the Bell Peppers?
I am highly allergic to them.
Hi Sheri! No time changes needed if peppers are omitted! Enjoy this one! It will still taste so great!
Thank you so much! : )
Hi Cathy,
Thank you for your reply to my inquiry about getting your recipes from youtube. Here is another question. In the sausage, pepper and potato recipe you say to use precooked sausage. I love Italian sausage and I have quite a few frozen but they are not precooked. How would I go about making this with the sausage I have?
I do make the sausage recipe but I make it in the oven. Now that the weather is warming up I’d rather do it in the air fryer.
Thank you,
Hi Diana, you’ll love this one in the air fryer! I would just cook the sausage from the beginning with all the veggies. Let me know how it goes for you!
Yum! Just ate it. Kind of a brunch meal too. Didn’t add peppers this time. Question – if wanting to add zucchini, maybe last three minutes or so?
Yes! It just depends how soft you like your zucchini. Sounds terrific!
