There’s a lot of reasons to love baking. Whether it’s the smell that fills your house when a fresh batch of cookies are in the oven, the first bite of a delicious homemade cake, or the awesome level of creative control you get with baked goods, there’s something for everyone!

That being said, one thing that isn’t fun for anyone is when your baking endeavors turn…well, bad. I’m sure we’ve all experienced a failed batch of something. And that’s why easy baking recipes are always great to have around! The chance of success is high, the kids can help out, and everyone gets to eat something delicious at the end of it.

Our Favorite Easy Baking Ideas

1. Best Chocolate Zucchini Brownies

If you’ve never had zucchini brownies before, this is the recipe you need to try. The zucchini is in there, but you can barely taste it or even see it. It just adds a nice health boost!

As for the brownies, they’re chocolatey, fudgy deliciousness. Perfect for the entire family!

2. Chocolate Chip Cookie Bar

Traditional chocolate chip cookies are great, but there’s something about this chocolate chip cookie bar recipe that just takes it to the next level. You get this delicious buttery crust on the outside, but soft, chewy chocolatey goodness in the middle. Yum!

3. Easy Pumpkin Cookies

You might be more tempted to bust this recipe out in the fall,  but if you’re a real pumpkin fan this can easily be a year-round treat! Best of all – and you might not believe it – there are only 3 ingredients required for these cookies. They’re as easy as it gets!

4. Easy No-Bake Cheesecake

I love cheesecake, but even a basic cheesecake recipe can have a long prep time (and an even longer baking time). This easy no-bake recipe solves both of those problems! For easy baking recipes, no-bake is about as easy as it gets!

Altogether, this recipe only takes 30 minutes from start to finish, and you still get a delicious crumbly crust, a creamy filling, and a fruity topping. So good!

5. Blackberry Pie Bars

If you like pie but you want to skip some of the work that comes with making a traditional pie, this recipe lets you do that – without missing out on a delicious flakey crust. Plus, these pie bars are super conveniently sized for snacking!

6. Easy Homemade Lucky Charms

Not only are these Lucky Charms bars one of our favorite St. Patrick’s Day Treats, but they’re also one of our favorite easy baking recipes! They’re basically like Rice Krispies except that the marshmallows from the Lucky Charms take the flavor and sweetness way up a notch.

7. Easy Boston Cream Pie

This is about as easy as it gets when it comes to making a Boston cream pie. The recipe uses a boxed yellow cake mix, but you’ll find some tips in the post to make boxed cake mix taste WAY better, so the flavor is still great.

8. Wacky Cake

Looking for the easiest cake recipe ever? This is it. You can mix all the ingredients up in one pan for super easy cleanup, and you don’t need any eggs, milk, or butter. The end result is a surprisingly delicious and moist chocolate cake (you can make it vanilla too).

9. Irish Lemon Pudding

Here’s another great St. Patrick’s Day recipe. It’s a traditional Irish dish with a nice not-too-sweet lemon flavor. Best of all, you only need 6 simple ingredients to make it!

10. Double Chocolate Muffins

Several chocolate muffins

I really don’t know whether to eat these as a breakfast or a dessert, or whether they’re a muffin or actually a cupcake. I’m not too worried about it either! They’re delicious and fluffy and easy to make so I just enjoy them! You can even put some chocolate frosting on top if you want to make them even sweeter.

11. Easy Chocolate Cake From Scratch

Can you tell we like chocolate cake yet? I think this is the third one on this list of easy baking ideas so far, but for good reason.

This particular recipe contains a fantastic homemade chocolate buttercream frosting to top things off, and the cake is homemade too. It’s all surprisingly easy though!

12. Dairy-Free Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Stack of baked oatmeal chocolate chip cookies

Oatmeal cookies are amazing and versatile, but a lot of recipes can end up pretty bland and dry. Not these ones though! They’re dairy-free, wholesome, and the coconut oil helps them have a nice crispy outside with a soft and chewy inside.

13. Quick and Easy Stewed Apples

Bowl of stewed apples

We’re not lying when we say these stewed apples are quick – there’s only 10 minutes of prep time involved! This is a tasty versatile dish too that can be enjoyed on the side or as a full dessert with whip cream or vanilla ice cream.

14. Cinnamon Roasted Pecans

Pile of roasted pecans

This is probably the easiest baking recipe on this list, but also one of my favorites. They give off a bit of a festive vibe, but you can honestly enjoy them year-round as a snack, in salads, on ice cream, or something else!

15. Soft and Creamy Fudge

Creamy fudge with nuts

Fudge typically isn’t easy to make (it can actually be quite intimidating), but with this recipe I can almost guarantee you’ll be successful. It’s worth the effort too – soft, creamy fudge combined with all of your favorite additions (e.g. nuts, candies, peanut butter, anything!).

16. Easiest Caramel Popcorn

Bowl of caramel popcorn

If you’ve never made caramel popcorn before, you have to try this recipe. It’s as easy as it gets and as good as it gets too. Even non-caramel-popcorn-lovers end up liking it! Best of all its no-bake and only required 4 ingredients.

17. Easy Microwave Lemon Curd

Bowl of lemon curd

Lemon curd is great to make from scratch because it’s easy and versatile. You can enjoy it on its own or add it to all sorts of things to bump up the flavor. And it only required 4 ingredients and around 2 minutes of prep time!

18. Homemade Reese’s Eggs

These egg-shaped Reeses make for awesome Easter treats but you can easily make them in other shapes too! They taste just like the real thing but even better since they’re homemade!

19. Easy to Make Killian Corn

Killian corn is very similar to caramel corn, and this recipe is the best! Only 5 ingredients are needed and you can add things like chopped nuts or coconut if you want some extra flavor.

20. Delicious S’mores Cookie Bars

This recipe will throw you right back to the campfire but you can make it right in the comfort of your own home! With a perfect ratio of marshmallow, graham cracker, and chocolate, you might like these even more than regular s’mores!
