Will these cook all the way through?

Essentially these will cook in the air fryer just like they would have a cookie! But, with the addition of the chocolate stuffed inside the two cookie pieces you will get that delicious molten lava effect from the melted chocolate.

Can I make these easy lava cakes up in advance?

You definitely can make these up in advance. I would suggest if that is what you want to do, I would still shape them to fit in the ramekins and then freeze them until you are ready to use the rest.

Put some parchment paper to line the whole ramekin and then place them in the freezer until they are frozen and set. Then remove the cookie lava cakes from the ramekin and store them in a freezer-safe bag until you are ready to heat them.

When you go to use them frozen I would up the temperature to 350 degrees F or 178 degrees C and cook it for about 10-15 minutes. Or, you can always let them thaw and pop them back in the ramekin and bake them according to the instructions.

How to Make 2 Ingredient Lava Cakes:

Step 1: Prepare the ramekins

Start by spraying the ramekins lightly with your oil sprayer or cooking spray.

Step 2: Shake the lava cakes

Begin by flattening 1 of the premade pieces of cookie dough and placing it in each ramekin.

Then, place 1 square of baking chocolate (maybe 1 ½ if you have larger ramekins) on top of the cookie dough pressed into the ramekins.

Now, place another piece of flattened cookie dough on top of the baking chocolate and try and seal the sides of the cookie together slightly to keep the chocolate from seeping out.

Step 3: Cook the lava cakes

Once they are all set, air fry the lava cakes at 320 degrees F or 160 degrees C for 7-8 minutes, or until the cookies are cooked all the way through.

Then simply top the lava cakes with ice cream, whipped cream, and even the chocolate magic shell ice cream topping too, and enjoy!
