Easy Microwave Hot Fudge Sauce
This is a hot fudge sauce that you cook in your microwave! Seriously. It’s so easy, so fast, and best of all, it tastes super good (especially over some homemade ice cream)! You deserve to have some delicious hot fudge sauce in your life, so I had to share this recipe with you!
I love this recipe so much that recently when my sister told me she was bringing hot fudge to a party I sent her a link to this chocolate sauce recipe and insisted that she make this and nothing else if she was bringing hot fudge. So, don’t be fooled by the simplicity of this recipe, it’s seriously the best!
Ingredients for Microwave Chocolate Sauce:
You only need 6 simple ingredients to make this easy hot fudge sauce. I like to use Guittard real milk chocolate chips but you could probably use dark chocolate or whatever else you want too!
Since I usually have all the ingredients already in my pantry, this recipe is a breeze to make. I can usually have it ready in less than 5 minutes!
Note: If you don’t have any sweetened condensed milk, you can make your own in about 5 minutes! Check out how to make sweetened condensed milk.
Instructions for Easy Hot Fudge Sauce:
- Combine milk chocolate chips, corn syrup, and butter in a 4-cup glass dish and microwave for 1 minute. Stir well.
- Add sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, salt.
- Blend well and microwave until bubbly (about 1 minute).
- Stir and serve over ice cream.
- Refrigerate remaining sauce in an air-tight container. Will keep for several weeks.
You Can Put This Hot Fudge Sauce on Everything!
Recently I’ve been really enjoying this sauce drizzled over vanilla ice cream. I also like to make hot chocolate with any leftover hot fudge sauce by adding it to milk and warming it in the microwave. Yummy.

- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- ½ cup corn syrup
- ¼ cup butter
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14 ounces
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- dash of salt
Instructions
- Combine 1 cup milk chocolate chips, ½ cup corn syrup, ¼ cup butter in a 4-cup glass dish and microwave for 1 minute. Stir well.
- Add 1 can sweetened condensed milk, 1 tsp. vanilla, and a dash of salt.
- Blend well and microwave until bubbly (about 1 minute).
- Stir and serve over ice cream. Refrigerate remaining sauce in an air-tight container.
