Easy Cinnamon Popcorn Recipe
Sweet Maple Cinnamon Popcorn Recipe
This cinnamon popcorn is lightly sweetened and super easy to make. Another bonus, the ingredients are pretty healthy so I can enjoy this yummy popcorn as a guilt-free treat or snack. Score!
Making the Cinnamon Popcorn
Did I mention yet that this popcorn only takes a few minutes to make? It really is a wonderful option for a fast, healthy snack or treat.
First, you want to get the popcorn popped. I have a Presto air popper that I use whenever I make larger batches of popcorn like this. But you can use whatever method you want! You can even pop popcorn in the microwave with a bowl and plate.
When I pour about a 1/2 cup of kernels into my air popper, I end up with about 13 cups of popped corn, so that is what I’ve based the recipe on. Of course, you can adjust the recipe to the amounts that work best for you.
For that light cinnamon flavor, you start with a few tablespoons of virgin coconut oil. Melt the coconut oil in the microwave or on the stove top, then whisk in the pure maple syrup and cinnamon.
Pour the cinnamon mixture over the popcorn, sprinkle with salt, and stir until coated. Done! So easy. Eat it up. No guilt.
Final Thoughts + Health Information
These amounts may vary depending on the specific ingredients you use and if you follow the recipe, but 1 cup of cinnamon popcorn is about 70 calories, 2 g total fat, 12 g total carbs, 1 g protein. (I just entered my ingredients on MyFitnessPal to get the numbers.)
The popcorn isn’t overly sweet but has a nice light cinnamon flavor. We love it!
