This was fun. I sent my husband to get these for me. I walked him through the process over the phone. He kept asking, are you sure this is going to work? Are the checkers going to get mad at me? What happens if they don’t let me do it? I had to assure him that I do this kind of thing all the time and the checkers are usually nice. I helped him try to profile the checkers and he decided to go with the self check out b/c there was only one checker in the store and she was swamped. What a smart guy. It like he reads my advice on the blog. He never reads the blog. He even was attentive to others trying to get in line behind him and said, “I am going to be a little while.” Then they would choose another self check-out.

He had to do 5 separate transactions on this one. What a sport! You pay upfront for the first set of 4. Then you use your coupon from the previous transaction to pay for the next set of four. In the end you have another $3 coupon to use next time you shop.

Why did we get 20 cans? Well I had him check the expiration date. I always recommend this when you are ever debating on stocking up. The date was 2011. I think we can go through 20 cans of refried beans in 2 years!

Taco Bell Refried Beans $1 (Reg Price $1.39)
Get a $3 catalina WYB4
Final Price: .25 each

Here are his stats: 20 cans of refried beans

Spent $5 Saved $22.80

That does not include tax and does factor in the final $3 catalina.

This catalina ends tomorrow 4/18.

The 12th/Greenhurst store is fully stocked.
The Overland/Orchard store has a good stock.
The Overland/Five Mile is cleaned out.

He also got a new catalina notice pictured above.

Buy 3 get $1 off your next beef or chicken purchase
Buy 6 get $3 off your next beef or chicken purchase

UPDATE: I think the catalina might go until the 19th.
The Caldwell store #166 is going to be fully stocked Sat morning.
