St. Patrick’s Day Float

Fun and easy St. Patrick’s Day Float recipe!

It doesn’t get much easier than this for a fun St. Patrick’s day treat! We don’t do a whole lot to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day around my house, but we try to wear something green and I like to make a little something festive for the kids! This St. Patrick’s Day Float fits the bill for easy and festive!

Yes, I still try to wear something green on St. Patrick’s Day. It is probably more out of a deep-rooted childhood fear than out of fun though. Haha. Did you grow up feeling like if you don’t wear green to school on that day, then you’re pretty much free game? Will you get pinched, kissed, or worse? Well, hopefully you are free to enjoy the holiday now whatever your age and have fun, not fear. 😉

All you need for this easy St. Patrick’s Day treat is some ice cream, lemon-lime soda, and green food coloring! Of course, whipped cream and sprinkles are the icing on the cake… or float. Fun drinking straws can make it extra special too! Another fun idea is to serve it in special glassware, like a goblet or large glass mug.

It’s just like the classic root beer float, but with a different flavor soda and some green food coloring! I usually make a smaller version of this float, with just one scoop of ice cream, for my young ones. The kids love it! And I like it because it is so easy!
