Can I air fry ramen?

You can air fry just about any food. However, cooking noodles like ramen noodles or spaghetti just isn’t the most efficient way to make noodles.

So, I recommend cooking the ramen noodles on the stove top. Then, once the noodles are cooked, you can make the ramen noodle stir fry salad in the air fryer.

How to make Ramen Noodle Stir Fry in the Air Fryer:

The air fryer is amazing at cooking frozen foods! That is why this recipe comes together so quickly and deliciously! Here are a few tips to making ramen noodle stir fry in the air fryer.

Step 1: Place the vegetables and the chicken in the air fryer basket

vegetables and chicken in air fryer basket

Take your bags of frozen vegetables and frozen chicken and layer them in the air fryer basket. Because the chicken is already cooked and both foods are frozen, it is okay for the chicken and the vegetables to touch and mix together.

You can place however much vegetables and chicken slices you want to eat. If you end up having not enough, it is okay! These cook very quickly and you can make more very easily. If you end up having too much, that is also okay because then you can use what is left for leftovers!

Step 2: Season chicken and veggies

Add any seasonings, to taste, to season the chicken and vegetables. Stir the chicken and veggies around to evenly distribute the seasonings. You can also add a light mist of oil from a reusable oil sprayer (or brush on oil) to help the seasoning adhere to the vegetables and chicken.

Step 3: Air fry

Once your seasonings are added, air fry the vegetables. Cook the vegetables and the chicken in the air fryer at 370 degrees Fahrenheit or 188 degrees Celsius for 8-10 minutes, or until the chicken and vegetables are tender, cooked through, and crispy to your liking.

Step 4: Combine it all together

Once your vegetables, chicken, and instant ramen noodles are cooked, combine everything in a small bowl and serve to enjoy!

You can add any additional seasonings or sauces at this point. Make sure to stir everything together before enjoying!

You can also layer everything back into the air fryer basket to reheat or if you want the noodles to be more fried. Just add a spritz or two of oil and cook for 1-2 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit or 204 degrees Celsius.

How do I season chicken stir fry?

There are so many different ways you can season this recipe! Here are a couple of ideas.

1. Use the Top Ramen packet. If you are using a prepackaged ramen package, normally the noodles come with a small packet of seasoning. I like to use some or all of this seasoning packet on my chicken and vegetables, depending on how much I am making. Season

2. Garlic powder, Onion powder, and salt. You can’t go wrong with just a little garlic powder, onion powder, and salt to taste. This is a classic seasoning combo that never fails.

3. Stir Fry Sauce Mix. Keep things classic by mixing in a bottle of stir fry sauce into the vegetables and chicken before cooking it in the air fryer.

Or, try this homemade stir fry sauce instead. You will need chicken broth, low sodium soy sauce, honey, toasted sesame oil, and crushed red pepper flakes.

4. Homemade Thai Seasoning Mix. While stir fry originates from China, you can change the flavor profile of your salad with this homemade Thai seasoning mix that I used to make bang bang shrimp in the air fryer.

5. Homemade Curry seasoning mix. I love curry. Infuse your stir fry salad with fresh Indian flavors by using seasonings such as garlic, ginger, curry powder, ground coriander, cumin, paprika, and chili powder.

See one of my favorite homemade curry recipes for more specific seasoning details.

6. Just be creative! The best part about cooking is the creativity and discovery! Mix and match different seasonings of your choice. If you aren’t sure which seasonings to combine, a quick Google search will help you out. Just enter something like “homemade seasoning mix for stir fry”, see if you have the ingredients, and give it a try!

Garnish Ideas

Take this ramen stir fry recipe up a notch with one or several of your favorite garnish ingredients, such as sesame seeds, peanuts, cilantro, green onions sriracha, sweet chili sauce, etc.

  • This is the easiest recipe I have ever seen! I’m so cook but this is easy and awesome! Thank you for this! I always have these in the house!!

    • Thanks, Ina, for the positive review and feedback. This recipe is a keeper!

      • Cathy, Check out the “Public Goods” site. They have Ramen noodles in a 4-pack that are not fried and have a great liquid rather than a dry packet with nitrates. The first order is free. This weekend they have a sale. I am 88 and love my Corsori and your recipes and beautiful children. I might say I eat more healthily with your ideas.

  • If I use non-frozen chicken tenders and raw veggies, is the time and the temp the same? Is there a specific time for just frozen chicken breasts vs non-frozen ones? Thanks for all your great recipes and clear demonstrations. You have given me lots of needed confidence to use the air fryer pretty frequently where I was very intimidated by it. Your book is a great guide and your kids are so helpful and fun.

  • Seriously, Why would you air-fry something that was already oil-fried at the factory so it would cook quicker?
There is no good reason for an air fryer, but you need to make click-income, so you invent a recipe that nobody needs.
Maybe you should get a job?
