How to Make an Entire Meal in the Air Fryer

I love my air fryer because its so easy to make an entire meal in. This roasted chicken sausage and veggies recipe is so awesome because you can get an entire dinner on the table in under 30 minutes.

Chicken Sausage and Veggies in the Air Fryer

For this recipe, you will need:

  • 1 12-ounce package chicken and apple sausage, cut into 2″ slices (4 sausages, if buying in bulk)
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, halved
  • 1 pound sweet potato, cut into 3/4” chunks
  • 2 tablespoons avocado or olive oil
  • zest of 1 lemon 
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley (or 1 teaspoon dry parsley)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate arils

What is Chicken Sausage?

This recipe is super fun because you get to use chicken sausage. Chicken sausage is a ground chicken made into sausage links. It is healthy and super tasty. I love chicken sausage because it is so easy to cook, high in protein, and low in fat.

How to Cook Chicken Sausage in the Air Fryer

To cook the chicken and make this recipe a complete meal, first you will want to toss the sausage, sprouts, and sweet potato in a bowl with the avocado (or olive) oil, lemon zest, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper. 

Then, place all of this in an even layer in the air fryer basket and cook at 370˚F/185˚C for 15-20 minutes, stirring at the halfway. Keep cooking until the veggies reach desired tenderness. 

How to Serve This Recipe
