Pumpkin Hot Chocolate to make your fall delightful!

Pumpkin Hot Chocolate Collage

In my old neighborhood, one of my neighbors would host a Halloween party every year and she served hot chocolate and homemade donuts. So their house would be our last stop for trick-or-treating and we would enjoy some yummy treats as family and friends.

I think hot chocolate is a perfect drink to serve at a Halloween party! It would be fun to serve a variety of flavors too. This one is a fun fall version of hot chocolate that is just for the pumpkin-lovers! See all of our Pumpkin Recipes!

My favorite chocolate chips are Guittard brand. I stock up and stash some in the freezer when they go on sale (about this time of year at $1.67 each bag in my area).

You don’t have to use whole milk, but it helps to make it a bit more creamy.

Just put everything, except the chocolate, in a sauce pan and heat it up. Once it reaches a simmer, remove from heat and stir in the chocolate until it is melted. I think that next time I make it I will use heaping amounts of the spices to add just a little more.

I added some whipped cream on top and sprinkled on a little pumpkin pie spice to top it off.

These Insulated Ripple Hot Cups would be great to use if you are hosting a party and don’t want the hassle of washing multiple sets of ceramic mugs.
