Easy No Churn Pineapple Ice Cream Recipe
Craving a cold, refreshing summertime snack? Try this easy no-churn pineapple ice cream recipe! Delicious, juicy pineapple junks in every bite 🙂
For summertime, no two things go together better than pineapple and ice cream. I mean don’t get me wrong, plain ice cream is good too, but once you add in some juicy, refreshing pineapple, it’s like a literal party in your mouth. The pineapple chunks are SO yummy!
That being said, if you’re someone who prefers a smooth, pineapple-flavored frozen snack, try our Dole Whip Pineapple Popsicle recipe! They’re so refreshing, so easy to make, and healthy too!
Come to think of it, you could make both this ice cream and the popsicles above for a full-blown tropical snack bonanza. Maybe add in some grilled Huli Huli chicken and grilled pineapple if you want to have a tropical-themed dinner.
Enough daydreaming though, let’s get to the recipe! You’re going to love how easy it is…
How to Make Pineapple Ice Cream in 4 Simple Steps
One of my favorite things about this homemade pineapple ice cream recipe is that you don’t need an ice cream maker or any special supplies for it. All you need is some whipping cream, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, canned crushed pineapple (you could use your own frozen pineapple chunks too), and a freezer-safe container. That’s it!
Another huge benefit of this no-churn pineapple ice cream is the quick prep time – you only need to spend about 10 minutes prepping this recipe and the rest of the process is spent in the freezer, hands-off.
Excited? Let’s get to it!
Step 1. Whip It
This is a pretty standard beginning step for any no-churn ice cream. Grab a large bowl, add your whipping cream, and whip it on medium speed until soft peaks begin to form. This should take around 3-5 minutes.
Note that you could whip your cream by hand, it’s just a bit faster with a mixer.
Step 2. Mix It
After your whipping cream is thoroughly whipped, add your sweetened condensed milk and vanilla and whip everything together until fully combined. Then just stir in the crushed pineapple to finish the ice cream mixture!
Step 3. Pour It
Pour your pineapple ice cream mixture into a freezer-safe dish. Easy peasy!
Step 4. Freeze It
Last step! Cover the ice cream with plastic wrap or a reusable cover, and then put it in the freezer for 6 to 8 hours.
This is probably the hardest part of the recipe, that is, waiting for the sweet sweet pineapple ice cream to be ready to eat! I try to make it at night so it’s ready to eat the next day.
Once you’re ready to serve it up, let it thaw outside the freezer for about 10-20 minutes, scoop it into a cone or bowl, and enjoy!
Final Thoughts
Does that look tasty or what?! Pineapple flavored ice cream is good, but with the flavor AND the juicy pineapple chunks in there, it’s a whole new experience. Tangy sweet deliciousness with creamy vanilla ice cream. YUM!
If you wanted, you could easily switch out the pineapple in this recipe for any of your favorite fruits. Or, make a mixed berry ice cream and add several of your favorites. Enjoy!
