Fruit salad with cookies! Yay!

Here’s a fun and easy fruit salad recipe for you to try out! This is one of those fruit salads that you can get away with serving as a side dish, or you can serve it as a dessert. Only takes a few minutes to throw together! You don’t even have to chop up any fruit!

Next time Keebler cookies go on sale, you’ll want to grab a package (or two) of the fudge stripes cookies. Those Keebler elves know how to make some yummy cookies! 😉 The fudge stripes cookies are a special treat that everyone seems to love at my house. Plus, you can use them in this fun variation of a fruit salad. Love my OXO Whisk!

Like most fruit salads, you can change things up for different flavors and preferences. I used vanilla instant pudding mix, buttermilk, whipped topping, mandarin oranges, pineapple tidbits, and frozen raspberries in addition to the cookies.

Normally raspberries are too soft to be in a fruit salad, but if they are kept frozen it works out pretty well. But you could use chopped strawberries instead, if you prefer. The fruit tastes great with the hint of chocolate from the cookies!

A flavorful, fruity side dish or dessert with a pleasant chocolate shortbread cookie surprise throughout! This salad is best served chilled and within an hour or two of making.

This recipe is slightly adapted from one of my good old family cookbooks. Thanks to my cousin, Savannah, for recommending that I try it out. 🙂
