1. DIY Comfy Pet Bed with Tire
Here’s a simple no-sew DIY dog bed that you can have some fun creating! All you have to do paint your spare tire any color you like, and then stuff it with a comfy pillow!
Materials needed:
- Motorcycle/Car Tire
- Enamel
- Tray
- Cushion
2. Vintage Suitcase Dog Bed
Grab an old suitecase from the thrift store and you can easily make this cute DIY pet bed. I love all the possibilities there are with this project.
Materials needed:
- Vintage Suitcase (hard shell)
- Tools (hammer, screwdriver, extreme muscle strength)
- Pillow
- Pillow Sham
3. No-Sew Pet Bed
Here’s another no-sew DIY dog bed and this one is nice and simple as well. It’s reversible too which is a nice touch!
Materials needed:
- Home Decor Fabric
- Heavy Duty Fusing Tape for Heavy Fabrics (I used this, it was amazing.)
- Fabric Scissors
- Iron & Ironing Board
- Damp Cloth
- Pillow Batting
4. “Envelope” Dog Bed
If your fur baby likes to bury his/herself under blankets for extreme coziness, they’ll love this envelope dog bed! It’s soft, can cover them completely, and, well, just look at that cute face in the photo above!

- 3 Yards of heavy fleece
- Poly-Fil Pillow Stuffing
- Sewing Machine
5. Crib Mattress Dog Bed & DIY Mattress Cover
If you have an old crib mattress or can find a cheap one in your local area, use it to make one of these big DIY dog beds! This project will require a sewing machine though so keep that in mind.

6. Patchwork Pet Bed
Last but not least, in true DIY nature, we have this patchwork pet bed project. Made from basically any fabrics you can find around the house, this one is cute and cheap.

- An assortment of old sweaters (at least 50% animal fiber such as wool, alpaca, cashmere, etc.)
- An old pillow
- Scrap paper and tape
- Ruler
- Scissors and/or rotary cutter
- Pins
- Access to a washer, dryer, and sewing machine
