Here are a few more tips to make your Black Friday go as smoothly as possible
Don’t wait to shop until the day after Thanksgiving
Most stores start their Black Friday sales before Thanksgiving, with several of them starting the weekend before. Additionally, some retailers will have Pre-Black Friday sales starting in early November. These sales don’t usually have the huge deals that are seen Thanksgiving week, but can be a good way to get your shopping out of the way early. Remember to check our Black Friday Database to see when stores are starting their sales.
Make a Black Friday Plan
It’s easy to get caught up in all the great deals and end up overspending. Make a list of what items you are looking to buy. When a sale goes live, be ready to add the items to your cart and check out.
Don’t assume that you’re getting a deal just because it’s in the Black Friday Ad
Some retailers will include items in their ads that are not actually on sale. All the retailers are notorious for doing this. If you’re looking for a deal, make sure to check to see what the regular price is before purchasing an item.
Check out online deals
When we think of Black Friday, we often think about the traditional long lines in the cold waiting to get into a store. Fortunately most stores offer the exact same deals online. Even better, those items usually go on sale on the store’s website several hours, or even days before you can score them in the store. Your days of waiting in long, freezing lines are over!
Remember to use those credits and send in rebates
Stores like Kohl’s will offer Kohl’s Cash as a reward for shopping with them, usually $15 for every $50 you spend. Other stores have their rewards programs also. Forgetting to use those is like throwing away cash. Also don’t forget to send in your mail-in rebates. Retailers will combine deep discounts with manufacture’s rebates to help you save big. Make sure to send those in asap.
As always, Fabulessly Frugal will be posting real-time updates to help you score the best deals!
