Pumpkin Cuties
Pumpkin Cuties – an easy, healthy Halloween snack!
Pumpkin cuties are a fun option for the school Halloween party or really any Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Fall gathering. Hey, no party needed – you can just snack on them at home for the fun of it too. 😉
I love having a few holiday options that aren’t all about sugar. And BONUS – these cutie pumpkins are super easy and fast to put together. Quick, easy, cute, healthy, and something that most everyone will enjoy!
Preparing this snack is a breeze with four easy steps. It only takes like 10 minutes, depending on how many oranges you need to peel and how many helpers you have. 😉 And you only need to have two ingredients on hand – mandarin oranges and celery!
Step 1- Peel the cutie mandarin oranges. The kids can definitely help with this step! The oranges are pretty easy to peel, but we like to use an orange peeler to get it started anyway. The tool makes it even easier!
Step 2 – Cut celery sticks into 1-inch long sticks. A nice sharp knife makes cutting veggies a lot easier and faster. I seriously love my Victorinox knives. I’ve had them for several years now and they are still awesome! Just use a simple knife sharpener every once in a while to keep them sharp.
Step 3 – Cut each slice of celery into thirds or fourths.
Step 4 – Insert celery sticks into center of the peeled oranges. Have the kids help you add the final touch!
You can even peel and assemble the pumpkin cuties a day in advance, if needed. Just keep them covered and refrigerated until serving.
