How to Make Mason Jar Lights
While there are a ton of different ways to use mason jars around the house and all sorts of mason jar crafts you can try out, one of my favorite pieces of homemade decor is DIY mason jar lights. There are so many different ways you can create and display them, and they have a vintage-like feel that is just awesome.
Best of all, making your own DIY jar lights isn’t actually all that difficult. It will require a bit of time of course, but learning how to make mason jar lights is as simple as following the mason jar lighting ideas and tutorials below. Pick one that you like, and give it a go!
1. Mason Jar Fairy Lantern
Mason jar fairy lights are pretty popular and I totally understand why: they’re so mystical looking! They would make for a great piece of home decor, a nightlight, or a homemade gift.
2. Vanity Light
This is a really cool way to transform a plain old light fixture into something with a bit of personality! This project is actually a lot easier than it looks too.
3. Citronella Torches
Here’s a simple craft with a lot of functionality. Citronella torches provide light and they keep the bugs away at night! You can either hang these or set them down on a table.

These DIY mason jar lights are super neat as they use solar lids for the lighting. The glass beads on the outside create a really cool atmospheric glow too.
