5 Tips for Camping with Babies

5 Tips for Camping with Babies

  • Bring a Tarp and blanket: Throw down a tarp, and cover it with a blanket for an easy play area for little ones that aren’t toddling around yet. We have also used a pack and play for little ones.
  • Baby Lounging: Pack the Boppy, or the bumbo. Perfect for propping up baby to take in the views!
  • Water for Baby: Bring Bottled water for bottles. If you bottle feed, take enough bottled water so you don’t have to rely on the water source in your campground. I also like to have several bottles filled with water ready to go. I always keep a formula dispenser handy to make filling bottles really easy when we are on the go!
  • Baby Entertainment: Don’t forget the Portable Swing: MUST HAVE!! This is great for naps, hanging out, and helpful for while you’re busy with meal prep and more!
  • Bath Time: Empty out your tote for a pool or bath. If you’re headed out for a longer period of time or it’s hot…take a tote with you that you can fill up with water and have your kiddo take a dip. This has saved us a few different times when it was HOT, and also when the kids got dirty!

BONUS…
Essential Oils I like to have a roller bottle of diluted lavender to help my baby sleep at night. I also like to have a roller bottle of my favorite Essential Oil Repellent Blend to help ward off insects… I feel so good about putting this on my little ones instead of those yucky smelly sprays! If you would like to learn about how I get essential oils for less text or email us at 208-908-OILS or seekingwellness@fabulesslyfrugal.com.
