The Best Epsom Salt Detox Bath Recipe
Best Detox Bath Recipe for Immune Support
We want to stay healthy all year round, but there are definitely times of the year when we need some extra help! And guess what?? That time is now!
Right as the seasons start to change and the cold air comes, our bodies always try to get sick! That is why this week I wanted to give you a little something that will pick you up and keep you healthy!
These bath salts are one of those things that can make a difference for the better. Boost your immune system while you soak! Gather up your Epsom salt, baking soda, and OnGuard essential oil for this quick and easy natural solution!
Epsom Salt and Baking Soda Bath Benefits
Epsom salt is known to have many healing and antiseptic properties by itself – it kills bacteria, reduces inflammation, promotes circulation, detoxifies, relaxes muscles, and more.
Then the OnGuard essential oil really brings it up to a whole new level! The oils in it work together to support the body’s natural germ-destroying defenses, promote healthy circulation, respiratory and immune function.
As far as aroma goes, the cinnamon bark, rosemary, and clove bud in the blend are warm and spicy (this is in addition to the other benefits, of course). And the wild orange and eucalyptus add some energizing and uplifting aromatic notes too. This blend reminds me so much of fall!
What you will need:
How to Make the Detox Bath Recipe
In a medium bowl or another container, stir the baking soda and Epsom salt together until combined. Then, add the OnGuard essential oil blend.
For the measurements above, I use about 8 drops of OnGuard essential oil. Stir until combined.
Storage Tips
Store the bath salts in a glass container. With most essential oil creations, you need to use glass storage containers to avoid deterioration and protect the aromatic and therapeutic properties of your oils.
Pure essential oils will break down some plastic so invest in a glass container. You can get them for super cheap on Amazon!
How to Use the Detox Bath Recipe
To use your immune supporting bath salts, simply run your nice warm bath and add the bath salts to your bath water. The amount is totally personal preference, but I like to use about 1/8 cup of bath salts in my bath.
You cannot put too much or too little! It all depends on what you like. So make up this recipe, grab a good book, and take a long warm bath!
Conclusion
That’s it! Easy peasy! You can make this in just a few minutes and you will have enough to get you and your family through the winter.
I love to take a warm bath once I put the kids to bed. It allows me to reflect back on the day and wind myself down before I go to bed.
It is so important as mothers that we take care of ourselves! These bath salts will allow you to unwind and protect your immune system all in one!
