DIY “Poppin’ In” Valentine’s Day Card

I am super excited about these DIY Valentine’s Day printables for my children’s classrooms. They are a great alternative to candy and are something fun that both boys and girls can enjoy! Plus, they don’t cost very much to put together.

Because we at FabulesslyFrugal love helping you save money, we have been hard at work putting together some creative and frugal non-candy valentines day card options for you. We hope that you are loving them and will get the chance to use one or two!

You will need:

• Rubber Poppers
• Self Sealing Cello Bags
• Free Printable Popping In Valentine Card <<— download and print!

The Cello bags are perfect for this project. They were pretty cheap to buy and made it really easy to keep the prize with the card! This prize would be tricky to tie to the card and could easily come off with tape.

Total Cost Per Card

These are the cheapest priced item yet! Since the poppers typically come in bulk size, you are probably going to want to find a friend to share with. Then again, if you have 6 kids doing Valentines at school you probably won’t need to split with anyone at all.

My total cost for 50 kids will be $0.11 each! Certainly beats buying several bags of candy! Plus the poppers are fun for the kids to play with! My kids set the poppers on the kitchen floor and try to guess who’s popper will go first.

This works well for upper elementary aged kids because of the small size of the toy. Get started today and be ready for Valentine’s Day!
