Flavorful Greek Chicken Souvlaki in the Air Fryer
Air Fryer Chicken Souvlaki and Tasty Tzatziki Sauce
My daughter and I love to try new flavors and foods. Recently, we went to a Greek restaurant and tried souvlaki. It was so tasty that I knew I had to try it in the air fryer.
Today I am so excited to share with you how to make chicken souvlaki in the air fryer. You will love this recipe because it is easy to make and bursts with fresh and new flavors.
What is souvlaki?
Souvlaki is a Greek fast food that consists of pieces of meat grilled on a skewer. For today’s recipe, we are making chicken souvlaki and instead of grilling it, we are going to cook it in the air fryer!
For chicken souvlaki, you will need:
- 4 Skewers and rack that fit the air fryer basket
- 1/8 cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 6-8 ounces skinless, boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces (I used 1 large chicken breast)
How to Make Chicken Souvlaki
Two hours or so before you plan on eating, add the oil, lemon juice, garlic, dried oregano, and salt to a Ziploc bag, seal and shake. Then, add the chicken and marinate for 2 hours.

After 2 hours, thread the chicken onto the skewers. Place a rack in the air fryer basket and lay the skewers on top. Cook at 380F/190C for 5 minutes. Increase the temperature to 400°F/200°C for another minute or 2, or until chicken reaches 165°F/74°C.
